Manny Pacquiao leads in champions beaten

Going through both records with a fine-tooth comb, it seems Mayweather has counted his two victories over Jose Luis Castillo and Marcos Maidana. The actual number of world champions defeated by Mayweather is 21. The total reaches 23 if you add the rematch wins.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, has 22 victories over recognized title holders. That number stretches to 25 with second triumphs, 26 if you count Tim Bradley as two victories. Therefore, the Filipino Senator holds the record all on his own. A blow to Mayweather, who obviously wanted to hold on to it a little longer.

Below is a list compiled of all the belt holders who the two rivals have overcome. Unless Floyd Mayweather comes out of retirement at the age of 43, the record stays with Manny Pacquiao.

    FLOYD MAYWEATHER – CHAMPIONS BEATEN

    Genaro Hernandez
    Diego Corrales
    Carlos Hernandez
    Jesus Chavez
    Jose Luis Castillo (twice)
    DeMarcus Corley
    Arturo Gatti
    Sharmba Mitchell
    Zab Judah
    Carlos Baldomir
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Shane Mosley
    Victor Ortiz
    Miguel Cotto
    Robert Guerrero
    Canelo Alvarez
    Marcos Maidana (twice)
    Manny Pacquiao
    Andre Berto

Mayweather’s world championship career began in 1998, just two years on from his pro debut. It lasted a full nineteen years until Berto in 2015. The ‘Money’ man never suffered a loss, ending his ring stint on 50-0 after beating Conor McGregor in a special cross-codes and sanctioned bout in 2017.

    MANNY PACQUIAO – CHAMPION BEATEN

    Chatchai Sasakul
    Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
    Jorge Julio
    Marco Antonio Barrera (twice)
    Erik Morales (twice)
    Oscar Larios
    Jorge Solis
    Juan Manuel Marquez (twice)
    David Diaz
    De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Miguel Cotto
    Joshua Clottey
    Antonio Margarito
    Shane Mosley
    Brandon Rios
    Timothy Bradley (twice)
    Chris Algieri J
    Jessie Vargas
    Lucas Matthysse
    Adrien Broner
    Keith Thurman

Pacquiao turned pro almost two years earlier than Floyd Mayweather in early 1995 but didn’t fight in a fight sanctioned for a title until two months after Mayweather. Despite this fact, Pacquiao rattled through the divisions and became a world title-holder at seven or eight different weight classes, dependent on which sanctioning bodies you count. Losing seven times, the 41-year-old has made comeback after comeback and continues to reign at welterweight – even today.

      Good list for both guys.

Pac beating Mexico's big three is impressive. Even thought he went 1-1-1 against them he did get victories.

Technically he went 6-2-1 against them.

        2-0 against MAB
        2-1 against EM
        2-1-1 against JMM

Morales while seen as someone who was on the downside beating Pacquaio was such a great win. The 12th round switching to southpaw while taking some huge shots was the dumbest and at the same time one of the biggest ballsy moves you will ever see in a boxing ring.

I remember back when Floyd fans used to use the more champions beaten than anyone else as an argument to why Floyd was better. That was before Floyd went on to beat Pacquiao so i guess it doesn’t matter anymore but still an amazing achievement for the pac-man.

You know I never counted who had most. But if i was to bet on it id have bet my best shoes on it that Pac has beat more.
But I've seen YouTube videos saying Pac has the most out of the two and to be frank it didn't surprise me. I've also read Floyd fanboys say Floyd had the most on this very site and i didn't believe it. But didn't bother me enough for me to ask them to prove it.
I usually just say stop lying!

I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to, but technically if the OP is correct, Floyd did have more than Manny....Until this past year where Manny beat two champions in Broner and Thurman.

How about count the number of losses and draws?

Manny Pacquiao = 7 losses and 2 draws

                Floyd Mayweather = 0

Or we can go with the ratio of championship fights and total number of fights:

Manny Pacquiao = 71 fights and 26 championship fights.

Floyd Mayweather = 50 fights and 23 championship fights.

No matter how you spin it, Floyd towers above Manny "Steroids" Pacquiao

It’s a dumb record anyways. Four to five champs per division, ability to choose who to fight and when, not that impressive.
