I read this article where he said he had sex with four women before the fight and multiples days prior leading up to the fight. Said his mind was on girls and party and wasn't training. Said he tried to spar, but quit after the 2nd round because he was too exhausted.

Mike not only survived it, he still got in the ring and went to war. He was even dosed up with gonorrhea when he splattered Berbick in 2.

That 25lb rapid weight loss with little to no conditioning would have severely weakened him in Japan for the Buster Douglas fight. How he managed to go 11 hard rounds is a minor miracle. He still had his power too, right up to the 9th at least.
