    3. Granite chin.
    4. All around athlete. He was gifted with speed in every way it can be applied in the ring. He simply didn't over rely on it. Instead he used it as a tool for efficiency.
    5. Defensively responsible.
    6. Smartest guy in the ring ever. He'd dip over his waist preemptively just to prevent return fire. He'd also step in and smother the opponents best arm for offense right after. Adjust footwork and tie them up. Get them off balance.
Great post you said it better than I ever could. The unpredictable part was a big part. Like against certain fighters he would use 2-3 different styles. For example against Zab Judah. Floyd boxed/counterpunched him early in the fight, broke him down with body punches in the middle and straight walked him down and beat him up in the last few rounds. Zab was ready to quit, that’s why he did the low blow he was about to get stopped.

Perfect strategy. Floyd said it over and over again there’s no other fighter who can make adjustments like that. Most guys just fight one way all the time (take Manny Pacquiao for example). He’s one of the best fighters ever but can only fight one way. Whereas Floyd can show you 3-4 styles in one night. That’s what separates him from everyone else.

Solid solid solid footwork. Very RARELY was he out of position after throwing a punch. That plus a good chin. Makes you virtually invulnerable to getting on the canvas

Not called by Bayliss cause he grabbed Maidana to stay up. Bayliss breaks, Floyd backs straight to the ropes to bounce off and down like he was KOed.

Bayliss flummoxed gives home time to get up. Nary a single feint much less a punch attempted in this sequence.

He knew how to avoid getting hit with consecutive big shots.

Absolutely! Dude never came into a fight with a set style. He'd say it himself you can't prepare for Floyd. Manny is a great example, while I've said in other posts that after the losses to Marquez and Bradley he became much more defensive than he ever had been- which is why he wasn't bull rushing Floyd and leaping in as he used to do. He was for the most part the same fighter. In my eyes there are two ways to win a fight: going out and implementing your strategy successfully & taking away your opponents weapons. A great defensive fighter can win fights on the second one alone. A mental aspect of being a defensive fighter is NOT giving your opposition the chance to get a read on you. Thats what Floyd did. The very few times he was hurt was while implementing his own offense and having opponents take advantage of that.

He's racist. Blatantly racist. I've been back 24 hours after a year and every thread that has a Black American fighter involved he's in there pulling this BS. It's overwhelmingly obvious.

It seemed like his opponent's couldn't hit him clean. Mosley caught him pretty good and when he did Floyd demonstrated that he could take it. Floyd was forever slipping punches, blocking punches, or countering punches. It is hard to hurt what you can barely hit
