That's all IF. This is another IF, if floyd started his careee as a flyweight i doubt he will be even recognize because he will have multiple losses and probably no one will care about him cuz he's not undefeated and probably he will just retired after several losses.

Yeah I get it. If Floyd started his career at Flyweight with his overall boxing ability and skill set, he wouldn’t have beat guys like Chatchai Sasakul for the Flyweight title and Lehlo Ledwaba for the Super Bantamweight title and Marco Antonio Barrera for the Featherweight title and Juan Manuel Marquez for the Super Featherweight title and David Diaz and for the lightweight title and Ricky Hatton for the super lightweight title and Miguel Cotto for the welterweight title, and Antonio Margarito for the super welterweight title. Yeah, Floyd wouldn’t have beaten all of those guys like Manny did.

And just looking at who Manny beat for his first 3 belts in different weight divisions below where Floyd started his career at, Flyweight, Super Bantamweight, and Featherweight, he wouldn’t have beat those guys too with his overall boxing ability and defensive mastery to capture 8 titles, in 8 different weight divisions?

Manny is fortunate to start his career at flyweight and go all the way up to welterweight. He could have had (9) if he grabbed the bantamweight title along the way too, based on where he started as a professional.

But I am wondering, if Manny’s opponents on the way to capturing titles in (8) divisions were more impressive than Floyd’s.

1st title: Beat #1 ranked Super Featherweight in the world by Ring Magazine and future HOF’er-Genaro Hernandez, who beat HOFer Azumah Nelson to regain that title and still holds the super featherweight record for consecutive title defenses at (10) before losing belt to Oscar

2nd title: Beat another future HOFer, Jose Luis Castillo for the lightweight title

3rd title: Dominated “current” HOFer, Arturo Gatti for the super lightweight title, on his home turf.

4th title: Beat Zab Judah for the Welterweight title who had only lost (2) decisions to Baldomir and Cory Spinks (avenged that loss) and only got stopped by Tszyu before the Floyd fight.

5th title: Beat future HOF’er Oscar for the Super Welterweight title who had only lost (2) close decisions prior to Shane Mosley, and only had a stoppage loss to BHOP up to that point, and a arguable decision loss to Trinidad.

And (3) of the people Manny beat for titles, Floyd beat ALSO, Hatton, Cotto, & Marquez. Floyd stopped Hatton BEFORE Manny did and DOMINATED Marquez after being away from boxing for ALMOST (2) FULL YEARS.

Give Manny much credit but let’s not over do it please like he was some world beater, levels above Floyd, LOL!!!

Well they dont get too many heroes in their neck of the woods it must be very hard for them let go when the hero turns out to not be the superman they craved but a fake that maximized the system meaning milking talent with popularity, and popularity means you get away with just about anything.

Yeah but thats not my problem. More of them should get into. Boxing to rectify that issue.

Mayweather may be one of the top 3 boxers that has ever fought in the history of this sport, and probably one of the most hated due to his UNAPOLOGETIC approach & desire to strive for GREATNESS!! Manny is second tier to Floyd, his ENDLESS excuses in 2009 to not take stringent testing with NO CUT OFF date was appalling and an EMBARRASSMENT to boxing! Only when his taxes needed to be paid was he more than willing to take those TESTS!

As far as Floyd is concerned: Who the hell doesn’t have a PERSONAL life with things in it that are less than stellar? - the point is: YOU MOVE ON and focus on getting BETTER! Haters are BLIND to better, they let their natural hate entertain a question that should be a statement: Mayweather had a better career, was a better fighter - but hate, jealousy and racism always leads to confusion and confusing questions!

Porters answer speaks volumes, he wants people to greet him on the streets? To tell him how nice he is? And to endorse the WILDNESS he most of the time is content on displaying? ...With GREATNESS and personal flaws there’s a price to pay, Porter is just fine where he is - content with his flaws in and out the ring, so 2nd & 3rd tier with the adoration of fans is just fine for him.

He’s just capping because he is friends with Pacquiao. No rational smart person would rather have 7-10 losses and still be fighting in their 40s than retire 50-0 and be close to a billionaire.

all fans can be morons, but here's the thing, Floyd fans don't have to make excuses for his losses. He has 0. And even if you want to argue that he lost the first fights with castillo and maidana, he beat them convincingly in immediate rematches. Pac fans say he lost to morales for blood testing, Marquez landed a lucky punch and was on roids, they argue that he got robbed vs mayweather or make a shoulder excuse. It's pathetic and if you even read through their posts on here, they're hypocritical and try debating against facts... Actual facts.

They do however make excuses for IVs, demanding what gloves are used, refs that always seem to adjust their decisions for Floyd’s benefit, I could go on and on

He should be grateful because Floyd Mayweather is the reason that guys like him are getting paid so much. 10-20 years ago fighters like him were getting peanuts. This is just hating and attention seeking at its worst.
