DAZN seeks cash to help secure future

Got it. And yes, boxing was never going to determine the success of DAZN stateside. This is a niche sport, nothing more, nothing less. Getting Canelo was big obviously, but they eventually would have needed to win rights to the big sports leagues. If they strike out there, then you could say this was a complete failure.Im not sayin that DAZN is going out of the buissnes ,just sayin that boxing wont be big money maker for them ,as you say they will be around at least for couple more years and try to bid for other sports , but if they win a bid are they getting exclusive deal? from what i remember NBA for example is on more then 1 station.Comment

Most Americans really don’t care about AJ, but the Ruiz rematch absolutely was the most anticipated fight of 2019 here in the States. Complete casuals wanted to see that fight.Comment

Maybe, and eventually the boxing budget was going to sort itself out one way or another. But the people that think boxing is the reason DAZN is in a tough situation or the reason they will fail is wrong. Rights to major sports leagues cost much more than what they are paying for boxing. They used boxing to step foot in the American market.
DAZN winning rights to say the Sunday Ticket or NBA rights was always going to be tough as other companies such as Amazon could have easily outbid them.Comment

Bring HBO Boxing back!
All joking aside I rather DANZ not go away. We need competing networks so we can get good fights.Comment
