I'm not disagreeing that he fought differently, just saying that he was shot. Yarde fought cab drivers with losing records until he got a title shot. His last opponent was 4-48-3. That's his type of opponent. Kovalev was not the same fighter he used to be. Not even close.

Canelo was too fast and too smart for Kovalev. whenever Kovalev threw anything Canelo had a counter to the body, up top or with the right to the body. its hard to get someone off you with a high guard when they beat you to the punch. Its like no matter how hard you try Usain Bolt will always be faster than you. there is a reason GGG never threw to the body
