Stiff rusty Errol Spence cant move like this, especially after cutting 40 pounds to make the welterweight limit.
Kavaliauskas beat Ray Robinson by MD!

    March 30, 2019:

Welterweight contender Egidijus Kavaliauskas remains undefeated tonight, but he didn’t win either, earning a majority draw with Ray Robinson after 10 rounds of action on ESPN. Kavaliauskas seemed to have a really lackluster performance, and the judges turned in scores of 97-93 for Robinson, and two cards of 95-95. BLH also had the rounds split after 10 rounds, with a draw looking like a fair result.

Kavaliauskas was looking to put on a performance that could land him a fight with Terence Crawford, but this wasn’t the performance he probably hoped for. Kavaliauskas (21-0-1, 17 KOs) started the fight slowly with Robinson (24-3-1, 12 KOs) keeping him off balance with constant lateral movement and long shots from the outside. Then, when Robinson’s legs started to tire, Kavaliauskas started coming on and landing some big shots, but he never took the initiative to really step on the gas and pour it on.

    Shawn Porter washes Kavaliauskas!

Yeah, Bud's my pick too, although I really like both dudes. I was just more making the point that a fighter who relies on polished fundamentals can still be elite.

Good on Porter for trying to get the Crawford fight. But you know the truth, Shawn.

Shawn's analysis is **** on, imo. Crawford's ring IQ, his switch hitting - Bud just brings more to the party.

It wasn't an exceptional win but it was a pretty decent one, what impressed me more was how Bud achieved the victory...

Bud showed the 'mean machine' what 'mean' was, just beat the fight out of the man in the end. Quiet spoken dude, Crawford, and a clever one too, but make no mistake he got some real spite in him.
Ray Robinson is a tricky southpaw, many contenders would have a hard time looking good against him, as you said. I enjoyed the last part of your comment : Bud showed 'Mean-Machine' what 'mean' was, indeed.

SO WHAT?! Ray Robinson is world-class, Robinson beat Terence Crawford in the amateurs. After Ray Robinson drew with Egidijus Kavaliauskas he ( Robinson ) drew again with rising British contender Josh Kelly on the undercard of Joshua vs. Ruiz in NY. However, many fans felt Ray was robbed.

Yes sharpening the basics to a razor's edge should be number 1 priority for boxers then applying natural ability and style ect ect

Great assessment on Spence BTW and I like em both too I really feel like we could have another classic welterweight rivalry between the 2 guys if they just made the first fight

Ray Robinson is a level or two below Porter. Kavaliauskas is on that same level. He should've never been in the ring with Crawford, especially after struggling against Robinson. It's not hate that makes people downgrade Kavaliauskas, nor Khan, nor Benavidez, nor Horn! We know that these guys were not WW Championship quality fighters. Porter is, and I hope Arum reconsiders! We want to see Crawford in there with a live dog at WW! At this point, I would even accept Crawford vs. Ugas! Brook at 147 is unacceptable!

I don't care what anyone says about Shawn, his honesty is refreshing in a world of BS trash talk. Most fighters, after fighting someone like Spence and losing a close decision would say Spence is much better than Bud and would damage him seriously, etc. etc. but not Porter, he tells it like it is. Bud IS more versatile and DOES have more tools than Spence. Good on you Shawn. Can't wait to see him in the ring again, a true throw back fighter who ducks no one.
Anyone who says Porter is not elite because he has losses is a phony new school fan who started watching boxing in the Money May era and thinks all that matters is having 0 Ls on your record.

Why do you think it's Bob's fault? He's dying for a top WW to fight Bud! They are all with PBC! It's up to Al to allow Porter or Spence to fight Bud or he can keep playing roulette with his stable of WWs. I'm not a "fan" of any promoter but it seems pretty obvious it's Al who's trying to cash in as much as possible by promoting both fighters until there's no one left to match and he's forced to take his in house tournament winner outside the PBC umbrella.

Can't damn wait for these two to finally meet, but I just hope Errol's still the same after his crash and that Bud ain't much older by the time it comes around.
