Comments Thread For: Porter: Crawford A More Intelligent Fighter Than Spence; More Dimensions To His Game

Shawn Porter doesn't take it personal when he hears or reads about boxing fans wanting to see Errol Spence Jr. fight Terence Crawford more than a Spence-Porter rematch. Spence-Porter was one of the most entertaining fights of 2019 and Porter definitely wants a rematch. But as an analyst for FOX Sports and a passionate fan of the sport, Porter really wants to watch Crawford-Spence, too.

Here we see Terence apply that voluminous knowledge and elite skills of the sweet-science that Shawn Porter is refering to, against the undefeated dangerous top ten welterweight contender Egidijus Kavaliauskas.

Bud did it all here in this sensational clip : the P4P KING uses a feint, level-change, pivot, angles ; combined with blistering precise punch-selection and accuracy.

Stiff rusty Errol Spence cant move like this, especially after cutting 40 pounds to make the welterweight limit.

People really underrate Egidijus, man is a beast, absolutely steamrolled Avanesyan who's no joke himself. I feel he's the kind to snag a title in an upset KO victory. He's not a two time Olympian for nothing.

Egidijus Kavaliauskas has been degraded by pro Errol Spence fans and Crawford haters, but in truth 'Mean-Machine' would give Shawn Porter a hell of a fight, or any other welterweight in the top five.

I agree with Shawn here, but a fighter can be formidible doing a few things really well... Spence often puts me in mind of Golovkin despite a few stylistic differences, very little flash or wizardry but refined fundamentals. Elegance in simplicity.

Can't damn wait for these two to finally meet, but I just hope Errol's still the same after his crash and that Bud ain't much older by the time it comes around.

Alot of haters underestimates Crawford because they say he hasn't fought anyone at welter but the dude is incredibly talented. I wo Derek what the excuse will be when he cleans up the division. I think Spence has a chance to beat him just not a great chance.

I agree with your elegance in simplicity comment. I also cant wait for this fight. I do think the finesse that Crawford possesses will win him the fight though. As I told the other poster Spence has a chance at winning even if not a great one but that's what makes it intriguing to me.

Egidijus is a solid dude, but he didn't look good against Robinson, stylistically a bad match-up for him (and Crawford could have made things pretty easy for himself if he'd chosen) which caused folk to rate him poorly. It wasn't an exceptional win but it was a pretty decent one, what impressed me more was how Bud achieved the victory...

Bud showed the 'mean machine' what 'mean' was, just beat the fight out of the man in the end. Quiet spoken dude, Crawford, and a clever one too, but make no mistake he got some real spite in him.

That's not even controversial, Crawford is one of the most versatile fighters in the sport.
