Unfortunately, that would require a single entity running the show. As is, there are multiple en******-promotions- out running their own shows; theyd rather fight each other for the scraps then team up and make more money. They think their competition is each other, when really the competition is every other form of entertainment. Its as asinine as the meat department going against the deli department of the same store.

What makes it worse, is many boxing fans have a blind allegiance to their favorite promoter (who tie themselves in with these sanctioning bodies). As opposed to rooting for fighters they root for promotions. So as long as fans buy into this, and promoters & sanctioning bodies believe they are competing against each other, then we get the nonsense we have now.

I would not count a 53 year old Iron Mike out against some of these tall "champs..."
Casual, you even know Tyson was beaten by two journeymen when he was 38 -39?

Of course WBC would rank Mike Tyson. They are scared to death that American soil won`t see WBC hw belt for long time. Unfortunately, Mike Tyson was a bum even when he was 15 years younger.

His best days were 30 years ago, ffc.

Hey kid, I have been watching boxing since Ali V Spinks...

Mike's frame of mind is everything. If Mike has that fire in him, I don't see why a few bombs landed on that china chinned Joshua is so far fetched.

But yeah, keep acting like you are the fight doctor...

Well put. It’s not hard to imagine why boxing wouldn’t be on a lot of young athletes radar though. The whole sport often looks more carnival than legit. It can’t be the first choice for most kids parents. We’d need a great young athlete who is only committed to boxing. So many directions to be pulled in if u show speed, strength, power, skills. The sport where u get punched and cut can be a hard sell. There needs to be that guy who cant play anything else, but somehow only excels at boxing.

Kick out Dillian Whyte's sorry ass and replace with Mike Tyson.

Of course you would, terrible organisation. The same one that place a "Champion in recess" on Vitali and then jumped him to fight Sam peter after FOUR years out. So zero surprised that they would rank a 53 years old who has been inactive for 15 years.

This is corrupt and nuts. People are losing their mind in lockdown. I saw a poll asking if Tyson (now) would beat Wilder and 60% said yes (think was FB). I mean he’s 53, got battered by Kevin McBride 15 years ago and spends all his time smoking weed. Wilder would destroy him
