Well. Did they go to the olympics twice and win gold each time? Did they go and talk to different promoters? Did they use the leverage they had?
The answer is no. Most of those guys did nothing as amateurs and just signed with the first guy who came their way. For Lomachenko, a non american who doesnt have "american" values they dont get this. But is that Lomachenkos fault is it their fault for having such a limited capacity?
As an Asian, I've had black posters here suggest that by wanting to be better or supporting white fighters im just obeying my white masters which is pretty damn hilarious considering that I dont have their "victim mentality".
You are only a victim if you choose to be. Yeah, circumstances arent equal and life isnt fair but you need to do the best with what you got. Sometimes you have nothing, sometimes you have more. But these dudes just love to complain and beg for you to feel sorry for them.
Every race has its "trash" and that's a fact.
They call asians the model minority for a reason and while it's a little racist in itself it's the truth. The stereotype that all asian parents force their kids to get good grades? True. My mother gave me 3 choices for a career when I was a kid and they were doctor, engineer, or lawyer. That's it. They pushed me to do well in school and in life.
Now can the same be said for these other guys?
Highly doubt it. I've had enough black friends and coworkers to know where they came from. I've had mexican and Puerto rican friends from "the hood". Your environment growing up definitely dictates what kind of person you are. I feel pretty sad for those guys and they childhood they had to endure with parents teaching them to be victims and then them, teaching their own kids to be victims.
I love being a minority because I get to call all this **** out exactly how it is because I know exactly how it works.
Of course I could have pursued teaching at private schools. But I still don't think I'd ever see the remarkable cultural approach I saw with Asians. I mentioned Japanese and of course there is conflict between Japanese and Koreans and Chinese. Historically. But the Asian culture, each with its own rich tradition, all share the same approach and values towards education, from what I can see. The Japanese were persecuted in the United States during the great war, but they picked themselves up and are the model minority, doing and being the best among our country. Chinese were persecuted before that, built our railroads. Each Asian culture becomes our doctors and intelligent in many fields, scientists, mathematicians, etc.. A real boon and rich addition to our country's rich tapestry. Singapore is a remarkable country. My manager's wife being part Malaysian and part Singaporean. Just remarkable country. Just had to mention Singapore.
When I was in Seoul, South Korea, we walked in the middle of the busiest part of the inner city and it was safer that it is to walk in any place in America. The people were wonderful, in the deep inner city. The culture permeated with an elegance and intelligence and general clarity and peace. I would love to visit again but this time with my wife and daughter. I actually pulled out of South Korea when the virus hit them. I came back to the United States and our approach to dealing with the virus is abysmal in comparison to how the South Koreans dealt and are dealing with it. When I was there we were already all wearing masks walking around Seoul. Coming back I called my health care system. I wanted to get the test. I was informed I'd have to contact the CDC, that our government has not provided the test to our local medical establishments. This was 25 Feb. What the hell was America doing, sleeping at the wheel, when this thing was overtaking the world?
By the way, I hold international meetings with Koreans weekly. And also hold international meetings weekly with Brazilians. I work in the auto industry and I assist each of those countries build Dies for Stamping Plants. I evolved out of development of applications to supporting manufacturing. Evolved in my interests once I got my foot in the door. Not because of favoritism but because I work 12 hours a day, sometimes 18 hours, when most workers do their eight hours. The doors are wiiiiide open for black ********** to step in and advance in corporations today. There is a push for it. Asians can't catch a break getting into University. Blacks can get in and be mediocre. As a black American all you have to do is walk through the door that is open for you. Few blacks are taking advantage of it. It's never been as open and available as it is today.
A black can advance much faster and further than I can in today's corporate world. It's a leveling of the field and is why the opportunities are there. And in my experience the outside black culture interferes greatly in blacks actually not taking advantage of the situation. For myself, I still work my ass off just like I did at University. My parents were not part of the slavery in America. My dad came over after being in a workers camp in WWII. His brother went back to Ukraine.
As far as perfectionist and hard worker, Loma was the same way. He did it the hard way. Can hold his breathe under water for 4 minutes. Olympic level mastery. Is athletically capable in wide spectrum, his mother was a gymnast. He can bounce on his knuckles across a room, juggle a soccer ball like a pro, practice fast mathematical calculations while oxygen deprived, was fascinated by math growing up in school. That many amateur fights and sacrificed early rewards of money in the pros. And because he's foreign, isn't getting the hundreds of millions that some boxers get. He perfected his craft with blood, sweat and tears. And is remarkable as a pugilist. I am proud of him. I am proud of remarkable black Americans, ***** for one. I am proud of remarkable Asians, globally. I am amazed at the wisdom of wise gurus from India or zen minds from further east, the wisdom of Lao Tzu. It's the human race in the end.
All we need is one invasion from extra terrestrials and we put all out best fighters together to fight side by side bouncing off of each other's unique skills and abilities, in unison and defend the human race. Either that or the aliens come in peace and we engage in peace unless some ****** person in power with confidence and no clarity declares war on them. Yeah I'm speaking about Trump. The biggest ****ing dip**** we've ever had lead this country. The American Indians were not land owners, but were in tune with the land. Early settlers were working with the Indians not against them. Not talking about the Spanish Inquisitions, but the earliest puritans on the East Coast of the states. Then a few years later soldier types with no wives and an agenda were sent over. Real hard ass dip****s, sociopath types, with deep experience in English/Irish wars and destroyed a people. Not all whites are destroyers but in this case yeah it happened. Blacks war tribe to tribe in Africa and sold their brethren tribe members into slavery, either to Arabs or the Portuguese, Spanish or English. Arabs enslaved Europeans and Africans throughout middle ages. No country is immune from slavery and abhorrent acts. Slaughter still goes on in Africa, African to African. It's no different than the tribes of Europe warring over pieces of land and little wealth. It's part of the human evolution. It is about time we evolved toward's something wiser, deeper and better. But I'll not delve into that because outside boxing I could talk volumes on all that and this is not the place for that.
Could Teo beat Loma. Yes, for sure. By the mere fact that is is a behemoth next to Loma. What Loma is attempting at 135 against guys who will be at 147/154 someday is admirable. The only reason he moved up to 135 from 130 so quickly was because the other belt holders were not enticed to fight him. At 135 the fighters see a small opponent and revel in that advantage. He can't possibly hit as hard as some of the bigger opponents so why not take him on. Ideally he loses that five pounds and moves back down to 130 and fights Shakur and Berchelt. Loma called out Berchelt first but it didn't happen. Then year later Berchelt called out Loma but at that point Loma had a chance to fight for a belt against Linares and moved up to an arguably harder fight. He really wanted Mikey but Mikey moved on to 147 for some reason. Loma called out Tank at 130 and has been calling out Tank at 135. Tank has been fighting true cans and avoiding Loma. That's a fact. Loma said he wants Haney and Tank after the fight for undisputed. Those are the next two fights he wants. No ducking. No shying away. But I personally would like to see him get those two out of the way and then go back down to his natural weight. And get all four belts at 130.Last edited by TarasMarcenko; 05-20-2020, 09:21 PM.

Originally posted by TarasMarcenko View PostI'll give one more example. And let me start out by saying I admire the Asian culture immensely. I have my Masters from Carnegie Mellon in Application Development. No one paid for my education. I did it all on my own. My parents divorced and I was one of the poorest kids in a middle class neighborhood. Like I said I would study 10 hours a day plus go to class. My manager, his wife is from Malaysia. I visited South Korea just this past February for my job. My manager and myself went and he introduced me to wonderful markets and food in Seoul. What I am getting at though is an early experience I had in life. I was pursuing being a teacher in my early years at University. I only switched gears after my experience of getting in the school system and teaching as an intern type class. I was in there helping the teacher and experienced different schools. I was introduced to 3rd grade. In the public schools with blacks and whites and other races it was almost pure chaos. Kids throwing pencils and not listening to the teacher and over talking one another, not doing their homework, yelling, obnoxious. The more blacks there were the more chaotic it was. A definite cultural influence. Maybe in some rich neighborhood it would be different with the black culture. But rare and few between. Coming full circle, I had a chance to go to an all Japanese school to observe as part of my tour. Every kid was quiet and sitting up straight at their desks and when a question was asked from the teacher 100% of the students promptly raised their hands and were attentive and eager to participate in their education, eager to answer and attentive to learning and wanting to learn and expand as a human being. That was a life changing moment. I decided not to become a teacher with seeing the dichotomy in cultures. I did not want to be part of the typical American culture with our scholastics. But I left with a deep appreciation for Asian culture. That dichotomy stayed with me for 30 years now.

If he gets his little sissy family issue together, chills out a little about the shittalking towards Loma, focuses solely on his training, he can win. Loma can be taken out.
This fight is 50/50 to me, including the money. Both are the A-side, business wise. More people will be excited about it because of Lopez.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 05-21-2020, 12:16 AM.

Lopez is making me like him even more, he pursued the Lomachenko fight, he did what most of us wanted him to do, he beat someone tough, got his belt and then is looking to unify, Haney and him were having a back and forth a few days ago, but you have to give it to Lopez, he actually won his belt in the ring. And he is now facing the king at that weight class.
