DAZN is the luckiest platform because it has Canelo and AJ

If we’ve got posters in the forum boasting about how good the UFC is compared to boxing then we need to compare the context properly. If Canelo always does ratings and fans love to go see his fights, and given the world situation, what other alternative is there?

This has actually boosted DAZN retention theory exponentially. Canelo’s metrics will come in some new form if there’s no attendance.

So DAZN made a good investment.

From what i hear DAZN is loseing loads of money , i know that they didnt plan to be profitable from the start but they need to make some moves , last Nelo fights didnt cross 10milions from live gates, and it wasnt PPV ,they want to bid for BPL , it would increase subs number for sure.

I would be surprised if DAZN and Canelo advisor's haven't be in dialogue for weeks going on about how they go about this deal when things get up and running...

Canelo is a premium investment. How many Californians and Texans or the whole western USA whom are Mexican boxing fans and bored will want to pay for the $19.99 fight?

It’s actually surreal that such payments plans became convenient in this time. PPV on ESPN+ And Show/Fox is anywhere from $50-80. In times like this American consumers might not be interested at all, assuming economics has affected boxing’s demographics on the lower end.

Therefore, $19.99 seems like the most reasonable approach.

Unfortunately, DAZN has Golovkin as well.

That contract is like an anchor around their neck.

Maybe but that’s a ***ton of money to pay someone who doesn’t seem to want to fight the best available competition.

                AJ isn't contracted to DAZN.

In most of the countries where DAZN operate, GGG probably has more fans than any other fighter in their stable.

That contract and the non-return on investment is capable of bringing down DAZN USA.
