I've been a fan of Beterbiev & kinda was getting pissed it took so long for him to get the bigger fights. He's a badass mfer who deserves to be where he's at & I wasn't sure he was gonna get there the way things were going with inactivity.

Thing is he's 35. His time on top will be short it's a solid bet. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in 4 or less more defenses before someone unsuspecting upsets him.

I'd guess the boxer I'd most likely suspect to beat him would be Canelo. That said I wouldn't think Canelo would be looking for that fight necessarily anytime soon with other more interesting to most, easier to make, better paying & less risky options open to him. It's kinda like the Floyd vs Erislandy Lara fight I always wanted to see that was never going to happen fight of 2020-2021 in that way.

So I guess of the fights most likely to happen I'd put the top 3 guys I'd see having the best chance to beat Beterbiev would be Bivol #1, probably the other Alvarez #2 & shockingly to most I think Gilberto #3 if he can keep his movement smart for 12 rds & he's bold enough to take the fight which maybe an issue if any of the rumors circulating hold any truth. I think I'd even throw Jean Pascal as a dark horse at #4 to upset Beterbiev. Jean has shown himself to be a balls to wall guy in tense crazy ass fights & I could see him having some moments vs Beterbiev that could result in a surprise KO or enough moments to eek out a decision despite him having many more miles on him that Artur gots.
