Povetkin is an aging yesteryear midget fighter in today's era of giants. And he is no Foreman or Klitschko or Lewis. FFS, Povetkin couldn't even KO Hunter in their last fight who's more of a lightweight. Actually, Hunter rocked and roughed him up in the first few rounds. Imagine what any real HW would do to him.
Povetkin is going to beat Whyte. He wasn't even supposed to hang with hunter or Joshua and he did very well against Hunter.

Uh. He turned down a fight with Joshua. So it's his own ****** fault.

I am sure he would be. But what has that to do with this thread? You seem to have an obsession with Wilder and see him everywhere you look.

Povetkin was a decent fighter (not championship material, but decent) back in the days when he was younger and HWs were smaller. Today, he couldn't beat Hunter. For God's sake, Hunter...a cruiserweight figher...roughed him up so much. He was manhandled by Hunter in the first few rounds. I can understand Povetkin wanting a payday and fighting Whyte...most fighters do since few have successful other careers, not to talk about potential health hazards in later life. I get that.

But why pretend that this is some sort of "dangerous fight" for Whyte. Do you really believe Povetkin will beat Whyte? Do you?

Are you suggesting that Hunter is at the same level or better than Whyte? And Hunter roughed him up...mishandled him. To be mishandled by a cruiserweight means a lot.

I am not doubting Povetkin's heart or skills...but he's a midget in today's HW division and is a yesteryear star. Will quote this post once that fight happens and remind you that you said Povetkin is going to beat Whyte.

You’re all over the place ,are you sure I’m the obsessed one . You said Povetkin would be an easy fight ,as a Wilder fan yourself don’t you get you just admitted he fought soft touches if that’s the case ,you claimed Whyte is not really a good fighter ,you are making as if Hunter is also not a good fighter ,like I said you are all over the place. Who is a good fighter or legit fight if no one is good now ?

This is called discredit all the fighters because your guy lost and drag him down in the process if that’s what it takes. In reality ( back to reality ) anyone who counted the unofficial knockdown of Hunter knows he lost that fight but let’s just say everyone sucks and so on , Wilder is a world beater, AJ is ducking and Fury cheated ( your reality for you guys but be nice ) ... Ha

Edit : Real or actual people who like fights understands why it’s a great fight stylistically, maybe you don’t realize it but you just expose yourself and how little you know when you discredit fights like this ,and it’s not hard to do you do all the work , Wilder isn’t involved so it’s a waste ,I know we get it. Smh

If I was him I rather just get paid fighting bums until my deal is over or until they give him his title shot. He’s still due a shot at one of AJs belts and the WBC. Just wait !

Yes of fight bums for two years off of Eddies dime. Don’t take risky fights for no reward that’s going backwards. He can take the WBC or other belt to court or maybe get a set a side money.

I lean slightly towards Whyte for this one but it feels very 50/50ish. Povetkin's sell by date being well past 2020 is probably the biggest factor in my lean towards Whyte. Should be a fun one whatever happens & maybe one of the best potential fights we will see for awhile I'd guesstimate.
Beating Parker via head butt, and getting flattened by AJ isn't a good resume. Neither is almost dying fighting journeymen like chisora and wach.

Whyte fanboys prefer to pretend that didn't happen.
