You know...haters love to hate. I can understand that some were turned off by the hard push by HBO..but isn't that their job? He was a great fighter. Cleaned out his division. Very fan friendly. No arrests. Seemed nothing to not like.

Yep...and when combined with the amateur pedigree (if one was really skeptical about his merit), it seemed to me pretty obvious that he was more or less the genuine article....but fandom, for or against, isn't exactly rational is it.

My guess is one of the terms to throwing the fight to Canelo was ordered by Golden Boy/Hopkins to protect Hopkins record from GGG.

GGG is one of the best fighters in history and probably the best MW champ ever. He made 4 future hall of famers run away - Floyd 154, Canelo for two years, Sergio and Cotto. He also made Quillin Jacobs run away too.

Golovkin fought he could, who ever had the guts to step up. We never saw prime GGG at his best because the best opponents (Sergio Cotto Floyd Canelo) ran the F*** away like coward ****. GGG's legacy is he made 4 future hall of famers run away like bitc6es. We got cheated out of seeing GGG's best knockout wins vs Canelo Cotto Floyd and Sergio.

GGG was only getting about $1m a fight so GB Oscar squeezed him to take the giant payday vs Fraudnelo, but he had to play soft with the fake Mexican fraud franchise like Hagler had to vs SRL. GGG got rich with the two fake Canelo sparring sessions but he sold his legacy for the big $$$.
