what does Holmes and Foreman being champions in their 40s have to do with anything or my original point? You're talking in pointless circles and deviating from the point. My point was about fans perceptions of fighters following losses. I never said that fighters can't redeem themselves, which is obviously what holyfield and lennox eventually did. I accurately stated that holyfield was perceived to be done when he lost to Moore and he was known to have a heart problem. He came back and proved everyone wrong. Right now, both wilder and Joshua have lost the buzz that both had just a year ago and a lot of work is needed to get either that same buzz back. Beating fury convincingly may be able to do it but I don't think either is good enough to do that. Joshua beating some like Pulev won't do anything towards restoring his perceived status. And again, you're minimizing the impact of quitting and fighting scared in a rematch. Lewis reedmed himself and his entire career no matter how you want to spin it and Joshua has a much tougher road to doing that. None of those other guys got dog walked to the point that they quit in the ring against a guy who visually looks like the poster boy for McDonald's and obesity. That's going to be tough to come back from. Oh and for Tyson, what's this great hw era you're saying he followed? The Larry Holmes era where he was s***ed on because the perception was that he dominated a weak era that followed the Ali era? Do you even following boxing other than Anthony Joshua?

They might be "pretty damn good" for the 80s but those guys weren't world beaters. Not following your logic. As far as the HOF goes, were there less men voted in from the 80's than the 90's or from the other decades you mention? The "quality of boxers" is a pretty subjective standard. The fighters you mention above, apart from Tyrell "Briggs" (sic), were actually pretty damn good fighters. Not sure if you ever watched them fight. Most of them held world titles at one point.
I'd favour Shannon Briggs, Chris Byrd and David Haye to beat all of them. And the trio are from the Klitschko era that was supposedly a "weak" era. So what does that tell you? These guys also held world titles at one point.Comment

Shut up, you have no argument. You're just one of these low IQ having dumb yanks that basically hates everyone who isn't a yank.
Boxers in their 40s dominated in the 90s and were champions.
All the ATGs in the 90s got battered by average boxers.
Mike Tyson is grossly overrated. Shut yer gob and deal with it.Comment

There'll always be an enigma surrounding Tyson.. He came, he saw, he conquered then epically self destructed in and outside the ring. His history with King, his lifestyle all played out in front of the world.. he did bad, he did very bad and I don't recall any other boxer getting away with doing what he's done and still getting adulation from all angles.
He's just a likeable bloke who near on everyone can relate to. It's hard not to like him. He Definitely made my mind up whether boxing was for me...
Mike's grown up a lot and he's not as daft as he looks. he's going to make an absolute fortune off the back of this hysteria from a 5 second memory skill pad session and I dont blame him and good luck.Comment

Right now, Mike Tyson is actually bigger than the sport. Fury, Joshua, Fraudweather, Canelo, Spence, Crawford, people are tired of all the bullshi7. People would rather talk about what Mike Tyson did and still might do, than any of the BS today.Comment

you Brits have such an inferiority complex, it's hysterical. I hate everyone who isn't yank yet clearly stated that fury is the top dog... Is he a yank? I'm a realist why you're just a clown like most brit fans. You fools cling to mediocre - decent talent and try to pretend that they're something that they aren't. But what's to be expected from a group who blindly supported guys like Hatton, khan and Hamed. You are all so desperate to pretend that you're on the same historical level as the US when it comes to boxers and sports, that you'll cling onto anything British and defend anything they do, no matter how ****** it makes you look. Joshua is a known quitter who panicked the 1st time he was made to leave his comfort zone. Deal with it you cry baby ass b***h.You're obviously a big dummy.

LMAAOOO. You're the one suffering from inferiority complex, you delusional yank.you Brits have such an inferiority complex, it's hysterical. You only called Fury the top dog because he ragdolled and battered your overrated bum from Alabama. And I'm sure you've an alt you use for conspiracy frenzy against the same Fury.
No, the known quitter is Mike Tyson who did a quit job against Holyfield by biting his ear twice because he wanted out of the fight. He also did a quit job against McBride. And not forgetting the bum from Alabama that was saved by the white flag. LMAAOOO. At least Josh stood there and continued fighting till the ref called off the fight despite being poisoned by crooked yanks. LMAOOO
Now, let's talk about hypejob: do you remember a guy called, "Joe Lacy" the American hypejob? Can you tell us what happened to him when he faced Joe Calzaghe? LMAOOO.
And do you remember the guy below doing the chicken dance and the guy who made him do it? LMAAAOOOO

Well, Ricky Hatton sparked the guy that made the American guy do the chicken dance. LMAAOOO. So he can't be a hypejob...can he? LMAOOOOOComment
