there is a huge fundamental structure difference between "boxing" and the "UFC"....dana white has it made....he doesnt have a rival on par with him....oscar, arum and haymon are all fighting each other and all wield power....white doesnt have a major competitor and doesnt need anyone else to work with him to make the biggest fights...he basically has a monopoly

That's true but it results in a better model for fans. The top guys will fight the top guys because Dana says so.

The only thing is that the UFC fighters should get the equivalent of a players union to increase their share of the pay. But as I mentioned it's a very fan friendly model boxing should pay attention to.

Do TR not have a comparable deal with ESPN though?

That doesn’t explain why they are able to produce shows during the pandemic though. PBC easily have a big enough stable to operate using solely in house matchups.

UFC earned that spot thou tbh, they were not the number 1 ORG when PRIDE was around it was back in forth. OneFC also has a major footprint in Asia and they are in direct competition with them as well.

Boxing shouldn’t. If you want to be entertained by MMA guys right now that’s your choice. We should wait it out as long as possible. Sports are not essential.

Because Trump and Dana are pals.

There ain’t no furlough scheme for fighters though...

If they want to work and earn under safeguarding protocols they should be allowed to.

so now you have the pbc pitting all their fighters against each other, giving each other losses, for less money....since they cant generate a live gate and other streams of revenue at the arena

you dont see how that would not be great for a promotional outfit? dana white isnt worried about that
