It normally doesn’t go well when you start talking a lot of sh@t before you actually win a real belt, WBC, WBA, IBF, or to a lessor degree, the WBO. I’m really trying to think of (1) fighter in boxing history that talked this much sh@t and hasn’t accomplished anything yet. Help me out, name (1) fighter in history.

Even Floyd wasn’t a big sh@it talker when he was Garcia’s age at 21 and Floyd won his first major belt at 21 against the late and great, 2 time super featherweight champion, Genaro Hernandez, who died from cancer in 2011. Floyd fought and beat Hernández for the WBC Super Featherweight title. What the f@ck has Garcia won at his age and he compares himself to Floyd and talks all this sh@t, the WBC “silver” title and NABF??? GTFOH and go sit your dumb ass down somewhere & shut up!

Ryan is a smart kid, he knows who is the biggest draw! I still think Tank punishes him, but I would love to see this fight! Haney is a much easier fight to make! Since it seems like Linares doesn't want that work, DAZN should gift us with Haney vs. Garcia ASAP! MAN UP!

Garcia has been coached on how to call out these other fighters. He may be biting off a bit more than he can chew. Davis is nothing like Sonny Liston. Davis has fast hands a big heart and is a boxer puncher. He just happens to knock out a lot of people. Liston was more intimidating, had a killer jab, did a lot of time in prison, involved with the mafia and had slow feet. Davis is the total opposite of that persona. Garcia should get a better grasp of boxing history before making those types of comparisons.

No he doesn't. He just said that Garcia should get a belt first before fighting him.

Except that Garcia really didn't make an across the board comparison between himself/Tank and Ali/Liston, now did he? He didn't say anything about about the skills or greatness of any of these guys.

Garcia was very clear in making comparison's about each pair's motivation and goals within boxing. His point is that Tank seems more motivated by money than legacy or greatness within the sport. Liston was certainly a dour guy who seemed more driven by money or necessity than personal achievement or the reverence of fans. Ali, on the other hand, was obsessed with making his mark in the history books and in the hearts and minds of sports fans. Whether Garcia ever gets anywhere close remains to be seen, but he does express the same energy and zeal about proving himself. In that regard, he's very much like a young Cassius Clay.

Again, Garcia said nothing about these guys' physical or skill attributes. He was talking about their attitudes. Read it again.

Strangely enough he never mentions Loma, just ignores him, talks about how he'll be happy fighting those young guns however its Lomachenko who's the man at the division, Ryan must have some good management team who advise him to be silent about this potential fight for now

****** comment. Read Paul Gallender’s book if you don’t know what I mean. Real untold story of Charles Liston.
