Lewis wasn't scared of Vitali, but the fight certainly convinced him to get out while he was ahead. He was blowing hard, and got hit consistently.

so you saying he wasnt being forced to take the fight 2nd time?
or he was scared that time (after stopping your chump inside 5).

Vitali got his ass whooped though. Lennox didn't look scared, he didn't look like he was taking Vitali very seriously at all actually. He looked like the Lennox who got KO'd a couple times not the Lennox who did the redeeming.....all fat'an ****.

Vitali did a good job against the very seasoned former undisputed champion, but, Lennox was far from scared of that mug, just walloped him really.
Your perception skills are poor. Lewis feigned cool vs Vitali but handpicked Kirk Johnson the far easier defense than to face mandatory Vitali. Clear duck. Vitali probably bribed Kirk to fake the injury. Lewis was clearly ducking Vitali by handpicking Kirk and then got railroaded into the fight he didn't want.

Vitali didn't get the win but he taught Lewis a lesson. Lewis got booed out of the ring at staples center and never dared to fight again. Lewis knew he could not win the Vitali rematch and by ducking it he lost at least $30m.

Lewis KNOWS for certain he would have lost the rematch with Vitali and or his motor skills and brain faculties. He didn't want another life and death fight at age 38 and promptly said No Mas.

Lewis knew Vitali would be better, and more determined in the rematch. Lewis knew better than to face that smoke. Lewis wisely said No Mas.

Watch the video HBO interviews before the fight. Lewis never once mentioned retirement. Vitali destroyed Lennox Lewis confidence. Vitali destroyed the aura Lewis had as being the best. Vitali took over eventhough the referee cost him the win.

Do we know for sure that Gary Shaw didn't manipulate the refereee to stop the fight between rounds? Vitali had plenty of fight left in him.

The annoying thing about Lennox Lewis was? He could be too complacent. Lennox Lewis clearly should never of lost to Oliver McCall or Hasim Rahman. And Vitali Kiltschko should of been blasted out 'This is clear from how Lewis was able to bull Vitali Kiltschko when he was out of condition'.

A in condition alerted Lennox Lewis, would of blasted Vitali Kiltschko out inside 6 rounds. Big fighters without a real big punch, stylistically where tailor made for Lennox Lewis.

At the end of the day, they got in there and Lewis won. When you are the guy at the top then you are a target for everyone. Everyone can accuse you of ducking them, but if you end up fighting them then you have zero excuse in regards to what happens in there.

Absolutely nothing you said negates what I said. If anything, it just explains it.

Lewis was out of shape and not taking training seriously because he thought he was fighting a soft touched then had to fight Vitali? Okay.

He still came in fat, undertrained, and tore Klitschko a new fanny on his face.

Absolutely no fear, no concern at all, Vitali got handled like just another piss poor mando by the Lewis who shows up for Rahman and McCall

Lennox proved at his worst Vitali can't beat him. Just because Lennox set out to prove the same thing against Kirk doesn't mean he didn't do it to Big V

Fake news. Vitali had gotten himself highly ranked by the WBA through winning their "Intercontinental" trinket. Roy Jones Jr. probably had no idea who Vitali was. Nobody outside of eastern Europe or Germany knew who he was. He'd had 1 fight in America against a club fighter, and he'd cried off with a shoulder injury against feather-fisted Chris Byrd. He had no resume. His opponents after losing to Byrd were Timo Hoffmann, Orlin Norris, Ross Puritty, Vaughn Bean and Larry Donald. No world-beaters here. For some reason people try to talk Vitali up in hindsight.

A month after Lennox obliterated Rahman to regain his titles, Vitali was going 11 rounds with "Wladimir Destroyer" Puritty. Lennox then made the biggest payday of his career against Mike Tyson, then agreed to fight Kirk Johnson who was a fighter hyped in the US, would have been another big payday for Lewis and a no-brainer. As it happened Johnson pulled out and the Vitali fight was made.

You can't cry about a fighter ducking if the fight was made anyway. At what point should Lewis have put aside the big paydays, just to fit in an unknown Ukrainian for peanuts, with no network wanting to show the fight? Lewis had earned the right to cash out at the tail-end of a stellar career. Not only did the fight end up being made, but Lewis battered Vitali and smashed his face in. The OP is the sort of idiot who thinks the stoppage, which saved Vitali's career, was too early.

If you want to know what a real duck looks like, Wilder flat refused to entertain fighting #1 contender Dillian Whyte for almost 3 years. Now that is a real duck! The funny thing is, Wilder lost all leverage in that fight after losing that belt he was holding hostage. Dillian Whyte would be the A-side now.

Well im one of the people that thinks Vitali was on hes way to winning. But it worked out well for Lewis, he did t go out the way some champions do, and he actually did a sensible thing by retiring. You can keep going but eventually these guys are going to catch you up.
