2003 Vitali Klitschko interview, reveals how he was hunting Lennox

People forget that Lennox was semi ducking Vitali back in 2002-2003, had some court orders and delays caused by Lewis. But after Kirk Johnson conveniently pulled out of his fight with Lewis less than two weeks before, Vitali finally got his chance. Can't rule out Vitali's team paying off Kirk to step aside for a promised fight later.

    Interesting read.

Lewis was so afraid that he took the fight on two weeks notice and being in the worst shape of his career. Vitali was on the undercard of the fight because they wanted to build it.

Lewis already broke 3 agreements to fight Vitali. Lewis was dodging Vitali and hoping he would lose. It's possible Vitali paid off Kirk to step aside with a fake injury. Lewis lost confidence in this fight and ducked the rematch. Lewis was not sure he could win the rematch so he retired after he saw Vitali beat Sanders and Johnson. Facts.

Leave it to this idiot to spew a bunch of ignorant OPINION and then claim it as fact.

He was forced to take the fight or be stripped. But the fact that he was scared to lose was represented in the fact that he avoided the rematch at all cost.

Vitali was a hell of a good heavyweight and was never knocked down in his long career. He had a very large percentage of his wins coming by KO. Had he not been cut I think he would have gone on to KO Lewis who was fading fast. We will never know since the cut was nasty and the fight had to be stopped. No disrespect meant toward Lewis who was an excellent heavyweight and many years older than vitali and past his prime when he fought Vitali.

Lennox showed a lot of greatness in the Vitali win. It was his last surge of greatness. He lost confidence to try the rematch for at least $30m. He walked away from $30m plus.

Vitali gained a lot of greatness from this fight, like Leonard did losing to Duran. Vitali was never losing a fight, he was beating every man he ever fought. His flaw was that his body broke down twice. But his will and mind never did. Vitali was amazing and very underrated. Possibly the GOAT. Vitali had the goods to beat any man from history.

The Lewis was scared of Vitali story again.

Vitali got his ass whooped though. Lennox didn't look scared, he didn't look like he was taking Vitali very seriously at all actually. He looked like the Lennox who got KO'd a couple times not the Lennox who did the redeeming.....all fat'an ****.

Vitali did a good job against the very seasoned former undisputed champion, but, Lennox was far from scared of that mug, just walloped him really.
