Caleb Plant is a bit of an outlier amongst those greats.

I like his style too though, I think he does a job on Benavidez.

2 of those guys on there Hop and Toney fought in the 80s and actually were champs before the last 20 years, in the 90s. Ward competed professionally from '04 - '17 so his resume is written, Canelo has been since '05, so yes Plant will be the outlier in comparison but he is a very slick guy and I like watching, and teaching defense and counters

You'll notice that there's marked leaning towards the UK fighters pre 2011 cos that's when I really started getting obsessed with this ish big time rather than just following a few top UK stars... I'd have Prince Naz on the list too but I consider him a 90s fighter really.

Those were just really the first that popped into my head. There's also plenty of other guys who I rate more highly and have the utmost respect for or came to appreciate more after the fact, but just never got as excited for at the time.

Very interesting list!!! I like it, a lot actually. I LOVE talking boxing especially when you bring boxers up that aren't discussed daily? What are your thoughts on Bivol? Looking at some other names you have on this list I have to ask your thoughts on Usyk, asking because he was one of the few losses that Beterbiev had as an amateur. I think Beterbiev only loss 5 or 7 fights as an amateur (don't quote me on that). Also did you ever see Evgeny Makarendo? He fought Beterviev (twice) as an amateur also and loss to Ward in 2004 at the Olympics

I’d put 3 grand on Canelo by KO and then done a couple of perm bets on under 6.5, 8.5, 10.5 etc.

After the first 3-4 rounds, I was sh**ting myself. Khan was 4-1 up after 5 for me. Whenever Canelo landed though it was only going to be a matter of time...

I wish I hadve dropped some coin on it but didnt I had Khan up 4-1 after 5 too he lasted longer than I figured he would
