  • Comments Thread For: Andrade: I Looked Forward To Fighting Golovkin At One Point; Not Anymore

Canelo Alvarez. Billy Joe Saunders. Jermall Charlo. Those were the three names Demetrius Andrade mentioned when he was asked to give his "hit list" during the most recent episode of Matchroom Boxing's podcast, "The Lockdown Tapes." Gennadiy Golovkin's name was ominously missing from that list.

The reason why ggg avoid demetrius is because ggg knows it wont be an exciting fight.

A fighter who doesn't want to exploit an old name. What a welcomed change from what we're used to seeing.

Truth is Andrade doesn’t want an old name, new name, or prime name. He doesn’t want any name unless it’s a tomato can name.

GGG likes easy fights for easy paydays. He's not against taking risks but he's definitely not going to take a risky fight again unless he's getting Canelo-type money. In fact, the dude wouldn't even fight Canelo for Canelo money. He's content on saving money, so his wife and kids can be set for each of their lives and beyond with the lowest risk possible. Reminds me of what Floyd Mayweather would do.

he was signed to fight Saunders but sanders got popped for PEDs, he's expressed that he wants to fight Charlo, he wanted to fight canelo last Sept but canelo opted to wait out Kovalev. Can't fight who won't fight you.

Did u pull that outta ya ass or do u live under a rock?

                Saunders was at fault
                Charlo ducked
Canelo chose someone else to fight.

And GGG doesn't want to fight anyone not named Canelo

He fought prime Canelo 2x, Jacobs, D-Chenko, and has been avoided by Martinez, Cotto, Charlo and Andrade. But he won't take risks?

Canelo needs him right now more that GGG needs Canelo. The Kovalev and Fielding fights never paid off, they lost money.

How many fighters are going to bring in better PPV numbers for Canelo right now? Hint: their names won't rhyme with Andrade or Charlo.

They gave Golovkin $100 million over 6 fights. I bet GGG vs. Steve Rolls and Sergiy Derevyanchenko paid off big time for DAZN.
DAZN needs the fight more than Canelo does.
