Leonard Ellerbe is confident Gervonta Davis will be able to make the 130-pound limit without having any issues at the weigh-in for his fight against Leo Santa Cruz. The date and site for their Showtime Pay-Per-View bout are not set because those details cannot be solidified until the COVID-19 pandemic ends. But Davis, as he had repeatedly stated he would do, has agreed to move back down from the lightweight limit of 135 pounds to the junior lightweight maximum of 130 pounds for their 12-round fight.

Having grown used to 135 Gervonta is gonna have hell's own job getting back to 130. it is a money fight but if he has to really weaken himself to do it it isn't worth it. It could really detrimentally affect the rest of his career. He'd be better off going after Ryan. Ryan keeps calling him out & that should e an easy fight to make.

If I was Santa Cruz, I'd get that in writing in the contract. 500 thousand dollars for every pound over, a blind man can see that Davis will make Leo make 130 while he comes in 5 pounds over.
