Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker-Lucas Browne in Play For August in New Zealand

Great, another fight that no one cares about except degenerate gamblers. Just when i thought boxing was going to turn the corner and have the best fight the best, we keep having ***** match ups. No one cares about washed up lucas browne.
AJ will continue to be in his safe space while eddie continues to dodge wilder and fury. Whyte will continue to blab his fat gums about fighting anyone, but avoid the contracts when they are presented to him. Ruiz will continue to get fatter. Ortiz will continue to be blacklisted. We might as well have a wilder vs fury 6 because these other jokers are afraid to put it all on the line. Hell, id be more interested in a 53 year old tyson vs a 57 holyfield.

Oilskin can only fight whoever wants to fight him for X amount of dollars in the Pasifika bubble at the mo but whatever, that's Fast Eddie's job.
I'd like to see Parker put Fa in his place and Browne is really the only other name in the region.
Given the easing of restrictions between NZ and Australia we're limited to whos available to fight.
If matchroom can get a contender over to fight Parker and amp up a decent card that's all good otherwise we might be looking at Parker fighting out of work digger drivers from Kalgoorlie for a while.
Or we might get lucky and DAZN puts Pulev and AJ on down under here in the Pasifika region.
It also a zero risk fight for fighter, and guarantees a highlight reel ko.
Whyte terrified of Parker, been dodging rematch ever since Parker laid him out.
Few heavy weights will fight Parker, as he's hard work and durable. And there's plenty of top 10, 40 year olds that are much easier work for same reward.

Guessing they looking for an australian/nz based opponent because of travel restrictions?
That would be only way this fight makes sense. It's better than fighting no one I guess. And guarantees Parker another highlight reel ko.

I feel like he has the physical ingredients to be much more relevant but there's something in his head or heart that keeps him from his potential.
As for Browne, I imagine it's a stay busy fight that's relatively easy to make since they are both from the Oceana region. They tried to make the Fa fight and that didn't happen. Next up is Browne. Parker should stop him in 2 but will probably fumble around for 6 or 7 rounds until Lucas finds a soft spot in the ring.

Parker will never get another title shot if he fights that level of opposition. I mean, forth journeyman in line?
