As BoxingScene.com reported a few weeks ago, streaming service DAZN has been pushing for a trilogy fight between Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez for the fall.

GGG is a clown. Canelo had to give him an inflated purse to convince him to get back in the ring with him for the second fight and now he declined the third when he's the B side coming off the loss, just so that he can fight his second bum in three fights in a 2 year span?

Canelo should never fight this guy again. GGG is happy facing mediocre guys and claiming to be an ATM. Canelo ended fighting Kovalev and Smith and was scheduled to fight BJS this month while GGG didn't want to face any of top fighters and only faced Derv. Cause he was forced to. GGG is about facing his mandatories when they're lower tier fighters. Criticize Canelos opponents but would GGG have moved up and fought them instead of talking about it

As BoxingScene.com reported a few weeks ago, streaming service DAZN has been pushing for a trilogy fight between Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez for the fall.

For a while, Canelo was resistant to a third match - but the Mexican superstar is now fully on board to face Golovkin on a tentative date of September 12.

Golovkin had planned to make his mandatory earlier this year, but the fight was pushed back after GGG withdrew with injury.
