  • Comments Thread For: Warren: No Chance Fury-Wilder Will Happen Behind Closed Doors

Frank Warren, who along with Top Rank is the co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says there is no way that a trilogy with Deontay Wilder will take place behind closed doors. Fury made a statement when he dropped and stopped Wilder in seven rounds back in February to capture the WBC championship at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Behind ''closed doors'' doesn't mean without refs, judges, cameramen and commentators does it ?!?!?

No, I think it means everyone you've mentioned will be present - but spaced out to keep in line with the social distancing. It's the usual big paying "crowd" that won't be allowed, hence, no live gate funds.... Its waaay to dangerous now for any type of huge crowding....especially the big colosseum type crowd that this fight will generate

Or(?) You're right! it'll take place in Fury's basement where he can actually **** Wilder this time - behind "closed doors" with no gloves necessary

You don't usually see too many geezers, AKA Rona Virus Victims, at fights.

Refs are usually within the safe age bracket too.
We should have enough ''young'' judges, cameramen and announcers to make for a fatality free experience.

Virus can be with you for days before showing symptoms..

Nobody is classed as "safe age"

The money generated through PPV's won't be enough to pay the likes of Fury and Wilder without taking a big financial hit. And I'm sure Wilders owners are sick of taking financial hits on Wilder fights.

              A person can get sick
But only a very VERY small % of those will die.

Much ado over old/sick people dying sooner rather than a little bit later.

I'll tell that to my 29 year old cousin who usually runs 30/40 miles a week and currently on a morphine drip having contracted it.. his close family been told to say goodbye..

Sure it'll perk him and others in his situation that he'll no doubt pull through because he's not old/sick..

My daughter works on a ward in middle of it and it's all ages and situations dying...

Wilder wants it behind closed doors; the fewer people there in person to watch him get embarrassingly spanked for a third time, the better.

F-No! The promoters have to make a profit. They will lose $Millions at the gate by hosting this event behind close doors.
