After fighting Hatton for the 140 belt at the beginning of 2009, Pacquiao's next 4 fights were.....

    Cotto, Margarito, Clottey then Mosley.

Nitpick if you want about this or that but that was his next 4 fights when he jumped to 147 in 2009.
He avoided Mosley when he was still dangerous. Waited until he got old.

Even Freddie Roach has admitted this.

      Mosley coming off two losses.

Cotto a CW coming of 2 bums and a major career cheat beating and Manny refused to fight him without a CW twice.

      Clottey coming off a loss.

Margarito shot and exiled for 2 yrs then 150 CW.

Its like Ive always said you boys are about names, and you dont care if they half dead when Manny faced them.

People reaching with the margarito and Mosley wins

Cotto was a very good win. Clottey was a decent win—he blows it in all the important fights

He went for Thurman because Thurman hasn’t looked good For a long time Because of his many injuries but he could have fought Crawford or Spence. Even stylistically Manny prefers stationary or come forward targets because mobile targets make him look bad. Don’t get me wrong, he is a good fighter and will go down in history as one of the great fighters of this generation but he cherry picks like any other fighter. Money is number one, whether it enhances or diminishes his legacy and the risk in the fight. A risky fight has to be well compensated for and sometimes there’s not enough money in the pot.
Solid. Every fighter wants to make that 100 mill payday. Just like what Jones wanted at he to fight holyfield.

Avoiding fighters until they get boxing old is a Mayweather specialty.

Pacquiao gave his most dangerous foe 3 rematches. And wanted another one. It was JMM who declined.

Mayweather fought non-boxers instead of rematching his most lucrative boxing rivals. Disappointing considering his skills.

                Nitpick if you want BUT....

He jumped to 147 (for real not delahoya circus) in 2009.

His next 4 fights was the top 4 welterweights at the beginning of that year.

You know he cant fight all 4 at the same time right?

It's unbelievable how Floyd s fans live off of Floyd being so brave to fight 39 years old ssm?
They expect Pac to fight everyone, even though Pac still fighting. The standards for Pac highest in history

Right. He carefully picked who he fought first and who he waited on to get old.

“Shane [Mosley] came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny,” Roach says. “I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn’t enough money there, and second, you’re too good a fighter.” (Source: LA Times).

Rematches are what happens when you take L's or can't beat someone convincingly the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time. The people that actually deserved rematches against Floyd got there's.
