The time have come for Andy Ruiz to change.

Excellent combo, If Andy Ruiz make things rights and get discipline and convictions of becoming better. The actions are going to speak the truth is thing turn to the right direction. Better combination and body work with the help of his speed.

I don't think Andy has the discipline for it..

Ultimately I think it'll end in tears, prob not as much as when Andy dropped his taco but tears none the less.,

I hope I'm wrong though and this turns out to be a great pairing, but it's all dependent on Ruiz's discipline
Naw, that's a very professional team they have over there. Chepo learned his craft by being assistant to some top Mexican cornermen and he trained other world champions before Canelo came along.

        Oscar Larios for example.

They know what it takes to get things done. And with how hard Canelo works they are going to accept nothing less from anyone else; if the top dog in that camp is always busting his butt then no one will be getting a pass.

Teddy Atlas is a disciplinarian but you have to wade through too much bull**** and psychobabble with him. He doesn't keep things efficient and to the point.

I don't think they are pushovers but I also don't see them getting on Ruiz hard when he isn't showing up for sessions or is being lax in his training. Canelo has been with them from the beginning and has that drive to push himself so for them it's easy to work with him, but what happens when Andy is his lazy self? We shall see, as I said I really hope it works out

great hire. since 2014, i said Ruiz could be top fighter in the game if he got down to 240.

Yeah Teddy Atlas just wasn't going to work out with a laidback guy like Andy.

Teddy would have gotten so angry trying to motivate him, his face would've exploded. Hard to train someone when you're dead due to face explosion.

Ruiz is a young 30yo. So he could have a good 4-5 years.
                    The heavyweight landscape will change.
Wilder is turning 35 soon. Fury a bit better, nearly 32.

But I see your point Team AJ won't be making the same match making 'mistakes' in a hurry.

It's just Ruiz made fairly apparent AJ's vulnerability like nobody before.
It gives other top heavyweights plenty of motivation.
