Oh you are back I see. I thought you were gone after I had asked you a lot of questions about your phony idol who took steroids. You seem to not want to answer questions when they don't fit into your agenda. Fury is a con man and you are his biggest fan, which makes you the biggest idiot at the end of the day

I prefer AJ really but ever since Whyte had him on wooden legs that felt like 3 rounds I've not thought he will be an ATG or anything like that.
He stays hit for ages which is understandable. But you'd rather get bounced like Fury and pop up like a cork
As a betting man I'd even really go for it even if Whyte rematched him.Comment

Lineal Champion is BS. Fury made a big deal about it to make himself seem more relevant and get a fight with Wilder.
The lineal Champion is broken any time a Champion retires. It's a dotted line rather than a straight one and really means nothing today.
The Champion ALWAYS takes the Lion's share. Fury knows that so he is playing his fans for sympathy. It's ok saying that but the fact is it was Furys choice to take PED's and get himself banned, Fury fans have this victim mentality that somehow AJ didn't "deserve" the belts because Fury got banned for PED's, which makes no sense
Also, Fury was offered a decent contract to face AJ, but went the wilder route to increase his money value, which is fair enough but again, not AJ's fault
I think Fury will beat AJ when it comes to it, but the victim mentality around Fury and the illogical hatred of AJ mean I really want AJ to chin him, just to see the meltdownThat's the way it has always been. The champion gets the lion's share, always has, always will.
The fact that you think it is wrong in some way is crazy.
Why should a champion risk his belts and career for the same money as a contender with nothing to loose?
It makes no sense and there has NEVER been a 50/50 purse share on a Championship fight unless it is an unclaimed belt.
It is completely ridiculous to suggest it is an injustice of some sort.He doesn't have to say anything. He did it. That's all you need. He beat Klitschko and has yet to be beaten. Has nothing to do with anything else. Just that.
The belts Joshua had were Fury's belts. He hadn't lost them in the ring and he was the undefeated lineal champion. You can't be stripped of the lineal title. You just have to beat the man who beat the man. Even Wilder didn't want anything to do with the lineage, but it doesn't matter. You win it even if you don't want it.
By Cliff Rold - Anthony Joshua is the biggest draw in the heavyweight division and the man with the most belts. He might be the best fighter in the heavyweight division. He’s not the man who beat the man. Not yet. For many of the purists, this weekend is for all the marbles. Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KO) doesn’t have a major sanctioning body title. For them, he doesn’t need one. He’s the man who...
Fury told Hearn, from the day he decided to return, that he would sign on the dotted line if the deal culminated in a 50/50 fight with Joshua. Hearn laughed in his face. So you COULD have had a Fury - Joshua fight way back then, but as usual, Hearn and Joshua killed it.
Now Joshua is on the outside, looking in.Last edited by davefromvancouv; 05-05-2020, 11:15 AM.Comment

Fury spent ages saying Wilder would never be able to touch him - then he got knocked down by him twice and almost stopped.
Fury also turned down a fight with Joshua in April 2019 - so if AJ is so easy why didn't you take the fight and win yourself 3 belts??

I hope so. I prefer AJ to Fury but Fury did a number on Wilder's mentality through repeated contradictions and nonsense statements.
Wilder didn't know if Fury was his best friend or his worst enemy. He even refused to appear with him at press conferences.
I know as an Englishman it is very easy to confuse an American (they naturally misunderstand our sarcasm, references and use of understatement etc.) and I don't think Fury is a psychological genius, I think he just throws out nonsense statements and contradictions and leaves them floating to fester in his opponents mind.
Joshua will be able to read Fury better than Wilder and he won't be able to confuse him so easily, but Fury is still going to try and worm his way inside.Comment

That means nothing because Fury ran from the Kilischko rematch. If you break a contract you lose the Lineal belt. Wlad regained it at that point and then lost it to Joshua.
Also if you retire and get a drug ban - 2 other reasons you get stripped of the Lineal belt.Comment

The lineal title stops dead the first time a Champion retires. He doesn't have to say anything. He did it. That's all you need. He beat Klitschko and has yet to be beaten. Has nothing to do with anything else. Just that.

You can't beat the man that retired after beating the man. The true lineal title collapsed decades ago.Last edited by Angeljuice; 05-05-2020, 11:31 AM.Comment

Contracts and temporary bans have nothing to do with the lineage. I already provided the excellent article from Cliff Rold. That means nothing because Fury ran from the Kilischko rematch. If you break a contract you lose the Lineal belt. Wlad regained it at that point and then lost it to Joshua.

The lineal champion has to OFFICIALLY retire. Not go on a temporary hiatus
Also, Wladimir Klitschko established himself as the lineal champion after Lennox Lewis reitred, beating several #2 contenders (Povetkin, Pulev) after #2 Vitali retired. Then Fury beat him. Simple as...Comment
