Well you picked him Ricky. He can tell himself whatever he needs to but the truth is Pacquiao was on another to Hatton level at the time. Hatton had his style and his limitations, no trainer could have stopped the inevitable.

Hatton was ill prepared. Floyd Sr couldn’t do southpaw pads for one. Ricky was also in a bad place mentally.

However, even a peak Hatton doesn’t stand much chance against the 09 version of Pacquiao.

Ricky was too messy defensively and as Roach pointed out...once the fight starts Ricky leaves everything in the gym.

Ricky was a fun fighter, maybe a better Gatti, but that's about it. No version of Ricky beats any version of Manny. Styles just dont match up well for Hatton.

Also, Ricky binge drank between fights like a club level fighter...usually blowing up 30-50 pounds in the process. He prepared like a club fighter and fought like a club fighter. That's a reality he takes no responsibility for

PAC was prime at that point.
Not even Mayweather JR. himself would’ve beat Manny in ‘09.

Why in the hell would a world class athlete hire a crackhead like Floyd, Sr to train him? Oops... I almost forgot. Both De La Hoya & Hatton hired this dumbo and these two were drug addicts at some point in their respective lives.

Very true but what was more amazing why did he pick Mayweather Snr when he is a face first slugger never Hatton, he should have got a mexican trainer even freddy roach could not have helped Hatton.

Snorting Coke and Drinking was his own fault,
