Arum knows far more about boxing than you, and he's old enough to have seen Ali fight in the flesh.

Just like a tennis player from the 60s wouldn't beat Djokovic, Ali wouldn't beat Tyson Fury.

Now Arum forgot how great Ali was. A guy can be how tall and big, a smaller and shorter guy like Marciano could break them to pieces.

Ali simply couldn't cope with Tyson imo. Different eras and I can't see Ali taking furys power. Ali had a lot of fighters half beat before a fight whereas Tyson too Cuckoo to let any of them at get to him. He'd prob give him a dose of his own medicine..

I think we are in a poor era for heavyweight but I still think these lads are too powerful for someone of Ali size.

That's not a knock at Ali, he was great. Just the way it's all evolved...

Rose tinted glasses off, tbh, I agree. There wasnt a 6'9, 250-260lb'er that could box like Fury in Alis time. Obviously Ali was the better pure boxer p4p but the size difference would probably be too much, especially considering Ali wasnt a particularly big puncher.

You've gotta judge things within the context of the time though. HWs were smaller in the 60s/70s and didnt have the same kind of access to PEDs, but the overall skill level was higher. Ali didnt have massive natural physical advantages over his opponents the way Fury does either.

Fury beats Ali. I really don't see how Ali outboxes Fury from range? And he ain't beating him up on the inside, Fury has amazing body strength and knows how to hold and bully when needed too. Ali would beat a young, raw Fury, but not the version of Fury that we see in his big fights. Fury is a giant, very fast, great boxing skils and has always had underrated power. Everyone who spars him have said for years that he is a very big puncher. And this is not a poor HW era. It's easily the best in my lifetime. Been watching since 1990.

I was riding with the algeria hype train cause he's American.. But these other guys??? Wtf are u smoking! Loma is not better than floyd.. Horn will never fight floyd.. And tyson fury will never fight Ali.. Just stop dude.. Just stop! As much money as Americans have made this dude.. He sure is a anti American every chance he gets. I wonder if the UK fans feel the same way when this "killer clown from outta space" talks about Pulev beating AJ..

It’s a no brainier...Fury 10 times out of 10. Fury is too big, too rangey and too strong. What decent power Ali could muster would be severely diminished punching upwards, he clearly wouldn’t be able to box Fury at range and if he came on the inside Fury would smother him. Ali would get beat by a lot of modern era boxers. That’s not a knock on Ali, it’s just the evolution of boxing. And those saying Fury would gas out? What lends credibility to that theory? The fact that he fought 12 rounds with Wilder while being out of shape and still clearly had more energy than the very athletic paper champion? Lol

People need to remember, Ali isn’t the GOAT because he’s the most skilled and formidable boxer of all time; it’s what he did both inside and outside of the ring. Inside the ring, Fury rinses him.
