Teofimo Lopez thinks the fans are dumb. He doesn’t want to fight Loma without an audience. Loma wants to stay active by fighting with or without Lopez yet Lopez wants to sell us on Loma wanting a tune up fight. Lopez doesn’t want to fight him plain and simple.

That's how it seems. I can see why he wouldn't want to fight the biggest fight of his life against Loma with no crowd but it made him seem like a ducker so now he's trying to deflect by saying Loma wants a tune up. If you won't fight him without a crowd then of course he'll fight someone else.

It makes some sense for Lopez to stall because he should still be improving at his age whereas Loma may have peaked. It depends on how important his 0 is to him. It's a calculated risk. He hasn't got much to lose imo because he's so young and Loma is a freak. Losing to Floyd didn't hurt Canelo too much. What he learnt in the fight was probably worth it. Vargas a totally different character. He's all about the fight game. Always was a warrior. He took many beatings and was still gung ho.
