Honestly Canelo has everything to lose in a third fight. He won't get too much credit for winning, because at this point there is no statement he can make that will wipe out public opinion of the first two fights. If he dominates and wins by KO, the narrative is that he just benefited from Golovkin finally being past it after being unable to get a clear victory the first two times. If he struggles or even has another debatable decision, it makes Canelo look really bad. If he loses, yikes.

The gain here is purely for Golovkin.
