It not the trainer, it’s GGG! GGG’s only goal is money and preservation fights till the big trilogy. He’s not interested in changing anything or listening to anyone. Legacy does not matter to him and Banks is just a tool GGG is using for the media

I wonder if it's not from Golovkin having ties with K2 and Wladimir. Could be where the suggestion came from.

Sugar hill imho is a much better trainer because Banks plays it safety 1st & SH plays it offense 1st which is exactly what ggg needs,he should never have been dumb enough to think he can become Canelo late in his career. Before Canelo he would say defensive fighters were pvssies after Canelo he despite saying he won, decided to do a complete 180 on everything he ever stood for or fought like. Just my "biased" 2 cents,

Btw I think ggg can never beat CURRENT Canelo because Canelos too well rounded, but I think offensive ggg at his best & with a lil better strategy (especially if trained by Hill)he could continue to convince many ppl he won & maybe would even get the ko by going all out blitz, but Canelo imo will have easy work vs Banks trained ggg,ggg will never be anything but a great pressure/power fighter who relies on athleticism as much as a great jab,but who has average defense

To me he should accept that & use it to the fullest it will take him,til wheels fall off sorta speak, he's won't be unbeatable like he used to be vs lower tiers but only .1% of fighters ever have stretches where they seem unbeatable, imho if ggg had just honed his skills & stayed the same only Canelo beats him at mw,he would still be a favorite imo over 99%

                I’ll tell you why
Cause Banks is a yes man imo
Doesn’t take a genius to see that Hill is much better qualified for the job

My guess is ggg is promoted by the klitschkos no ? Iam guessing he already somewhat of a relationship with banks thru his promotional ties . I fell hill would have been better suited aswell tho .

No one really knew that much about SugarHill to be fair. He didn't become a big deal until after Fury vs Wilder 2.
