Not much of a defence to say 'Well, I'm a weight bully, that's my thing, and I lost it all too quick against an opponent that actually belongs in the division."

Would have been better off saying: I should have punched him again after I clocked him hard in the 11th.

I think the uncompetitiveness of boxing plays into guys with names & drawing power realizing it doesn't matter as much in boxing cuz it's harder to get your spot taken. Like if you are on a NFL you gotta be a top 30 QB in the world to keep your spot more or less. And that 22 yr old QB your team just drafted is gunning for your spot. It's all more competitive at all levels in most sports. Boxing doesn't have that. Just look at a guy like Adrien Broner for a case study on a guy who has enough hype & media attention so his skills & the seriousness he takes into fights doesn't need to be as heightened.

They are getting to much money thrown at them for fighting second tier guys
Secondly they fight twice a year
And the custom now is to hide behind your promoter or promotional outfit

Can’t blame them cause that’s just how hard they are pushed
I think any normal human being would react that way
Chit load of money for easy work
By easy not saying it’s easy to box

Tip of the cap to Sean too.

It was a good fight but I feel that Spence fought Sean's fight. Spence stayed in the trenches with Porter instead of boxing him from outside and wound up smothering himself throughout the fight. Spence is clearly the better boxer and he did not utilize that. All that being said I tip my cap the Sean for his constant swarming pressuring and Spence did not adjust. The scoring was bad , two judges heavily for Spence and the other for Sean ? Bad , it should have been UD but it was competitive all the way.

“It was a great fight,” Spence said of his victory over Porter. “I think I made it a lot harder than it was supposed to be because, you know, just the weight drop. I came down from I think 189 pounds, you know, to 147, so in a matter of probably nine weeks. So, the whole training camp I was running two times a day, you know, hitting the bag in a sauna suit, you know, just training in sauna suits and just [depleting] myself losing weight. And, you know, I just made it a lot harder than it was supposed to be, and you know, I could’ve made it a lot easier. It was a great fight. You know, we both showed a lot of heart and determination.”

Again, MOVE UP! That's 42 f**king pounds! Damn! That's insane!!!

💯. That’s the one thing haters don’t get. Porter is a difficult fighter against anyone. All his losses have been very close.
To discredit Spence because he fought a tough fight against Porter is to show how idiotic some boxing “fans” are.
Nobody is going to look good against Porter.

No their not not. A Porter and Bud fight would generate alot of buzz in the boxing community if we aren't going to get a Bud/Spence fight next. The measuring stick is there for everyone to see and it makes more sense than Bud and Brook to me. Even though Arum is saying no one can afford it.

                Move up in weight class!

Having to drop 40 lbs or more to make weight for a fight means your either way out of shape or fighting in to low of a weight class. Hard not to dominate a weight class when you're fighting naturally smaller guys. Spence will soon see that even his "natural weight" advantage won't help him when he faces a true welterweight champion in Bud Crawford.

Having to drop 40 lbs to make weight means you are going to be very weak on fight night.

It's impressive to dominate a weight class when you are so drained.

I was talking about how Porter is a difficult fight for anyone. I have no clue what you are trying to refute or debate against.
Porter-Bud would be a great fight no doubt.

Read my comment again. Porter is a handful for any of the WW.
