Alcohol and fried foods will do it. Spence has admitted that he has a very poor diet between fights, even prior to the Garcia fight

Fame and fortune has gotten to his hunger. Maybe the accident has given him perspective and gave him that fire back to stay disciplined.

Good food and drink are always a temptation, especially after hard training camps and fights.

Guys want to relax and have some fun. It takes a lot of discipline to turn away from that.

Idk man. To me it's like a doctor going on a 24 drinking binge before the morning of the big surgery.

Granted in this case he'd be operating on himself to make the analogy fit better so he's the only victim of his unprofessionalism, but it still seems massively problematic & a hindrance to your own livelihood to act in this manner as hard as it maybe.

Mainly I suppose it just shows a lack of dedication to your chosen profession & perhaps a unconscious desire to self sabotage or have a built in excuse if you come up short.

Sure did. It’s called a loss Errol
Jr. I hate bandwagon riders. Spence Jr was clearly confused for about the first seven rounds.

💯. That’s the one thing haters don’t get. Porter is a difficult fighter against anyone. All his losses have been very close.
To discredit Spence because he fought a tough fight against Porter is to show how idiotic some boxing “fans” are.
Nobody is going to look good against Porter.

Idk bout all that, but I'm sure there are plenty who have that outlook.

I think the uncompetitiveness of boxing plays into guys with names & drawing power realizing it doesn't matter as much in boxing cuz it's harder to get your spot taken. Like if you are on a NFL you gotta be a top 30 QB in the world to keep your spot more or less. And that 22 yr old QB your team just drafted is gunning for your spot. It's all more competitive at all levels in most sports. Boxing doesn't have that. Just look at a guy like Adrien Broner for a case study on a guy who has enough hype & media attention so his skills & the seriousness he takes into fights doesn't need to be as heightened.
