As a businessman, it wouldn't be wise to host this event without an audience. Arum stands to lose millions of dollars if he does. The last fight did nearly $20 mil at the gate alone. On a pay per view card, the promoters have to foot the entire bill. They don't get licensing or broadcasting fees from the cable and television networks to air these kinds of events.
