Arturo Gatti, of course. i dont care what his record is or what people say of him. nobody can deny the fact that hes an exciting, dangerous, and very very determined warrior.

yo I never said Chico gave him a better fight. styles make fights, and Augustus did give Mayweather a good tough challenge because he showed up determined that night. too bad he doesn't always. he's lost to people none of us have or will ever hear of. you can't say he's a good fighter. Corrales has knocked out top level opposition. Augustus has never beat a top fighter.

Another guy who needs to be mentioned here is the man who just stopped Teddy Reid tonight....that fighter being Verno Phillips. He's been up around the top of the 154 pound division for years, and he never puts up a lame performance. He gave Quartey and Ouma very tough fights, and he has beaten some quality opponents. His 10 losses don't do him justice.

I think a Phillips/Powell fight would be interesting.

Completely agree about Phillips, who has really stepped it up since the loss to Ouma (which was also a good effort). He arguably drew with Quartey and has now stopped Candelo and Reid. Not too shabby. He also knocked out Carlos Bojoroquez before the Ouma rematch, a guy who I don't think had been stopped up to that point.

I think a Phillips/Powell matchup actually sound perfect. Both guys are live fighters, both like to ****, both can move and box well too. Both guys could line up a title shot with a win over the other.

Intriguing matchup at the very least.
