Floyd GOAT at slowing down the pace of fights

He’d get everyone fighting at 40 punches a round

Best way to describe it I think. PBF was a complete fighter who threw combinations and got guys out of there. Especially at 130 I still love to watch those fights now. Money Mayweather was great and stronger, but not many combinations. Although some of the single power shots he threw were still unbelievable. Ricky Hatton fight is a great example of this and Mosley too. Floyd against Mosley was the best MM we saw I think. He really punished Shane in that fight despite the “moment” in the 2nd round. I remember watching it like WTF Floyd looks way stronger than Shane! Lol.

Roy in the late 90s was unreal. Certain fights he just looked unbelievable. I think a lot of people forget Floyds early career because it was all about Roy/Shane/Oscar those were the big names. Floyd knew this and was calling out Shane in 1999. But SSM didn’t want it when he was the bigger name, then tried to turn the tables once Floyd became the cash cow. This is why he got clowned so badly in the 24/7 because he was being a total hypocrite having rejected the fight twice in 99 and 06. Hand problems definitely held Floyd back, I actually thought he was close to stopping both Judah and Mosley but just didn’t go for the kill probably because of that. Of course Judah did the low blow because he knew that.

TBE was dominating guys with his IQ and skill set alone. I enjoyed the fights still but he didn’t get close to stopping those guys. I think 2010 Floyd probably stops Guerrero and Berto. Although both guys still got completely schooled by him. At least we had all access to keep us entertained for those fights haha.

        TBE - 2013-2017

PBF was a monster who knocked most guys out and this was when he was really exciting to watch. Money Mayweather was still great and on top of his game mentally at this point but was slowing down physically despite his dominance. Then TBE was the final stage he was still great but dominant more with his mind than anything else. Still great no doubt but you could tell he kinda lost passion for the game by that point. Some people might not agree but to me there’s a clear difference between 2010 Floyd and 2014/2015. He had a style that aged very well though and he was still sharp and fast even at 38 years old.
Very good description of his career well done

That fight changed my mind on how much stronger mosley would have been at 135 if they fought...cotto brought out the best in him too. Great fight

Judah and ssm would've got stopped if he had better hands

U have some idiot who created a thread saying that loma would have beaten that 130 pbf version.......I almost died from laughter. Lomas style would have been one of the easest fights for that 130 pbf version. Litterally one of the easiest......short arms and really slow feet by comparision.

Agreed, I feel he was stopping Judah and hurting his body, the momemtum was on and he was breaking him down, then the low blow took that away.

In here everybody thats anybody is always beating Floyd, they never beat him in the ring so the only way they beat him is fantasy.

Their is psychology behind them haters writing how Mayweather loses.

                    What a curse....

Insanely gifted fighter with bad hands.

Even still, managed to clown almost everyone he fought.

It’s called having a ref to call a halt to the action as soon as the other guy gets close.
