To me there was 3 versions

    Pretty Boy Floyd - 1998-2006

    Money Mayweather 2007-2012

    TBE - 2013-2017

PBF was a monster who knocked most guys out and this was when he was really exciting to watch. Money Mayweather was still great and on top of his game mentally at this point but was slowing down physically despite his dominance. Then TBE was the final stage he was still great but dominant more with his mind than anything else. Still great no doubt but you could tell he kinda lost passion for the game by that point. Some people might not agree but to me there’s a clear difference between 2010 Floyd and 2014/2015. He had a style that aged very well though and he was still sharp and fast even at 38 years old.

great summation bro you nailed it, thats always been the way i see it....his career had 3 phases and most never saw the pretty boy era. he and roy were so special in the late 90s. couldnt see either of them losing at that time and that form.

            Good mention

TBE started with the Guerrero fight

Floyd began jabbing more when he slowed down

130-135 Floyd would have stopped Manny Barrera Morales and JMM , thats how good early Floyd was . Look what he did to JMM without power and JMM beat Barrera and stopped Manny, none of them would have got near this version of Mayweather.

When you have that kinda of speed and power its a devastating combination.

This is a solid take & a take I'd not heard before, but it'd be difficult to argue against this.

I was going to mention this.

As he aged his hands bothered him more and more so he wouldn't throw as many punches.

Instead he focused on throwing fewer shots but placing them very accurately.
