I’m not saying size was a defining factor or anything as Mayweather was a level above Hatton.
Hatton was bigger than Mayweather. Size in boxing is weight. Length is height. Length of arms is reach. Mayweather had the height and reach advantage. Hatton had the size (weight) advantage.

Who was bigger, in your opinion, in the Joshua vs Ruiz fights, and why?

Size is not weight, it’s to do with dimensions.

Mayweather has a far bigger frame than Hatton. He’s clearly a bigger man. Nearly every dimension supports that.

Ruiz was obesely overweight. Hatton wasn’t. AJ is still a naturally bigger man than Ruiz.

aj!! from a fighting point of view, if i was going to fight ruiz or aj, i would say aj is the bigger guy. ruiz is just fat. but he's short. aj's frame is longer, bigger. ruiz just weight more.

He did some things right against Mayweather, jabbed to the body, tried deadening his lead arm with straights and jabs to make it drop. One thing he didn't do right is use his feet to cut him off and smother him up close. He's too plodding for that though and that will always be a shortcoming of his. He also didn't feint well or use his left hand to drag down Floyd's guard at any point. If he really wanted to open up Mayweather's guard he'd have switched stances as the Philly shell is terrible ineffective against opposite stance fighters. The fact Manny didn't do much to capitalise on that shows how his tactical side is seriously lacking.

But did Mayweather ever face a great body puncher?

Hatton was a very good body puncher but he didn’t have the size or skill to utilise his body punching effectively against Mayweather. (Joe Cortez didn’t help either)

Would have been interesting to see how Mayweather would have dealt with a bigger and more skilled body puncher like Spence.

Mayweather would likely have adapted and found a way to win but I think Spence gives him some problems.
Corrales and Castillo were great inside and going to the body.

              Canelo? Cotto?

I think Floyd fought his fair share of body punchers.

Let me guess, you think a whiff of Manny’s anus smells like your favorite breakfast?
Or maybe a lick of his balls tastes like your favorite Tagalog dinner? Slurp slurp!!

Spence is a very well rounded fighter, but from what I saw against Porter and Brook, no, I'd say Mayweather outboxes Spence.
