Hard to say, I've never seen Floyd against an A level fighter in their prime but then again Spence damn near loss to Shawn Porter. It's a good fight but I'm leaning toward Mayweather. Since the Porter fight, i can't help but think Spence is a bit overrated. He's currently the most proven fighter at 147 but hardly an ATG imo. I think Crawford is a much stronger candidate for that title, he just needs bigger fights at 147 to show it.

You need to do your research. When Cotto fought Floyd in 2012, he was 31 but he had taken a horrific beaten against Margarito in 2008 who cheated. Cotto was never the same after that. He gets TKO’ed by Manny (1) year later in 2009. He goes on to beat Yuri Foreman, an average fighter, Mayorga who has already lost 7 times, and wins a rematch with Margarito who had already been stopped by Mosley and Manny.

Cotto loses to Trout, changes trainers and beats Rodriguez, average fighter, and Martinez with a damaged leg. Smoke and mirrors. 2015 he loses to Canelo.

And my point wasn’t who was older, my point was Floyd did not fight a “prime” Manny who dominated the likes of Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Oscar, and others.

None of those guys were renowned body punchers like Spence is.

The only guy who arguably was, was Hatton but he just wasn’t big enough or skilled enough to utilise those attributes against Floyd.

I’m not saying Spence would have beat Floyd but it would have been interesting to see how Mayweather would have dealt with him. As he never faced anyone with a similar style.
I’m not gonna go down the list and name every body shot KO he has but the man has 31 KOs in 35 wins so stop with all this “he was a head hunter” BS. Watch the Broner and Mayweather fights and count how many body punches the guy throws then come back to me and say he’s “not a body puncher” lol.

None of those guys are body punchers like Spence? So Spence is a better body puncher than Cotto and Canelo? LOL. Stop it. You are winding me up...

Hatton wasn’t big enough? This is a guy that walked around at 200lbs plus and used to put on 20lbs after the weigh in against a guy who walked around at 147. Same with De La Hoya. What’s the excuse for him losing? Or Cotto? Man stop. Cotto is by far and away a better body puncher than Spence or even Hatton. Floyd fought him toe-to-toe and still won 10/12 rounds. Spence is not a better fighter than Miguel Cotto.

Don’t think it would’ve been any more interesting than the Zab Judah and Cotto fights to be honest. Might give Floyd trouble for a round or two but it’s all downhill from there...

He gave Corrales more size height and reach than what Errol would have over him, on fight night he has give away big weight on many occasions, speed kills and not many get to land cleanly on Floyd, Im trying to vision what version of Errol we have seen that could catch up with Floyd, it aint Brook and it aint Mikey so it would have to be an Errol we havent seen yet.

Same with Castillo. Huge lightweight. Tall guy with a jab and power? That’s Diego Corrales. Strong versatile pressure fighter? That’s Oscar De La Hoya. Southpaw with power? How about Manny Pacquiao.

You guys need to stop it the guy fought every style you can name and dominated all of them. Even the guys who made it close (Castillo, Maidana) got totally shut down in rematches.
corrales did not use his jab much at all and oscar was horrible at putting pressure on guys.

no he didn't and no he didn't. old pac got the better of him. we can watch it round by round if you'd like. pac lands the much cleaner punches. domination lmao. how do you dominate them when you are constantly getting your head rocked back and all you can do is land some grazing sh-it punches? even the old cotto he fought was giving him the business at times he just couldnt keep it up because well he was old and shopworn. i dont see anyone like brook on floyds resume. i dont see anyone like porter on floyds resume. maybe he beats them but seems like they would be competitive fights. why does spence get punished for taking risks and floyd gets accolades for not taking them? the guys prime floyd fought were zab, baldomir, hatton moving up marquex moving up, old mosley, ortiz, etc...those guys arent on that level at all.

Idk about totally shut down...and huge at 130 is different than huge at 147 man...Spence weighs 185 in between fights...Floyd is probably 30 pounds less than that...Spence would be about as big, strong, talented of a guy as Floyd faced...and a lefty to boot.

And he did bust Floyd up in sparring apparently...saying Spence has a chance is hardly a stretch...he is probably 2 or 3 weight classes above Floyd naturally

Cause Hatton got way out of shape that somehow makes him bigger? Jesus Christ...

You should go join TMT security. That way you can get defensive about Floyd and get paid for it.

You ever think that maybe Floyd counters their jab and thats why they stop using it, he took it off Oscar with counters, Corales got killed the moment he tried to throw anything, he couldnt contend with the sheer speed and accuarcy. lead left hooks on the button, lead right hands on the button, either coming or going on the button.

I honestly dont think you even watch Floyd, all you do it look for any neg you can twist, Floyd was as bad as fck destroying guys more than Manny was for fck sake, take the hate goggles off and watch the moves there is lots you dont even see.

But Errol did bust him up in sparring...so that goes a long way.

And big at 130 is different than big at 147 man...Spence is 30 pounds heavier than Floyd in between fights...at some point, a guy would just be too big for Floyd, no? And a prime, in shape Spence would be close to that guy if he wasn't that guy, imho.
