As a fan of Spence, he could never beat Floyd. He should be in his prime now, and have been 100% focused up to now. He should've been able to stop the smaller M. Garcia.

Castillo attacked the body more than most fighters and was known for that. Cotto and Canelo both have loads of body punches KOs. Same goes for Gatti although he’s not an elite fighter like those two he was still a legendary fighter (RIP).
Floyd faced every kind of style. Tall fighters, short fighters, pressure fighters, brawlers, jabbers etc. I don’t think there’s any one style to be successful against him. I think it would’ve been a close fight for a few rounds then Floyd would adjust. Kinda like the Judah and Mosley fights. It’s really the mental game that separated him from the rest. He was able to out-think his opponents and adjust to their style, then dominate them. Spence is very good but when I watch him (or any other fighter right now for that matter) I don’t see that.
None of those guys were renowned body punchers like Spence is.
The only guy who arguably was, was Hatton but he just wasn’t big enough or skilled enough to utilise those attributes against Floyd.
I’m not saying Spence would have beat Floyd but it would have been interesting to see how Mayweather would have dealt with him. As he never faced anyone with a similar style.

Same with Castillo. Huge lightweight. Tall guy with a jab and power? That’s Diego Corrales. Strong versatile pressure fighter? That’s Oscar De La Hoya. Southpaw with power? How about Manny Pacquiao.
You guys need to stop it the guy fought every style you can name and dominated all of them. Even the guys who made it close (Castillo, Maidana) got totally shut down in rematches.

I think Floyd would be too quick and elusive, Errol is strong and upright he is not fast footed or fast handed he beats guys by chopping them down, I cant see anybody thats mechanical catch Floyd, its this same reason I give Manny a chance of out boxing Errol, speed and continuous movement.
But you never know Errol is a very big strong WW.
