I think with Manny, everyone will say look what he did to Thurman, but that wasn’t the same Manny that dominated Cotto, Hatton, Oscar, and Mosley and others earlier in his prime. Floyd didn’t get a “prime” Manny.
I see some semantics there and admit a lot of people can misread what you wrote. That said, you write clearly, that a prime Manny dominated Mosley. Bro, Mosley had just been beaten from pillar to post by Floyd a year earlier.
Floyd gave Hatton his first Loss and beat Oscar despite the odds being stacked against him (ring size, glove size, referee, judges and purse size were all in favor of Oscar including a rehydration clause for Floyd to be at 154 to slow him).
Meanwhile, Manny fought Oscar at 147, a weight Oscar hadn’t fought at in 7 years.
So when you talk about a “prime” money, all these facts have to be included. If Manny was demanded catchweights against Oscar, Cotto and Margarito, do you honestly believe he would have fought Floyd without some weird catchweight or glove size or ring size demands? I highly doubt that.
In fact Freddy Roach said several times that Manny wasn’t ready for Floyd, all the way to 2010. You can find those videos online.
You sound like a fughin fan girl
I understand where your going with it or at least I think I do but get off your knees brother

Never seen Mayweather against anyone in their prime. For all anyone knows he would have folded like a cheap purse themed suit.

Floyd as a general rule of thumb didn't have ethos of fight toughest available. Before he retired he wasn't interested in crawford, thurman, nelo, ggg etc etc.
Maidana, berto types earnt Floyd payday somehow, but not fantastic talents like thurman, spence and Crawford types?Last edited by hugh grant; 04-29-2020, 06:42 AM.

Mayweather in his prime is way too sharp and fast for someone like Spence. Errol is just to conventional for him. Aside from his looping left punch he throws from his hip sometimes, Spence fights in a style that Floyd will see everything coming.
If Porter can roll under and slip some of Spence's punches when he was boxing from the outside then you would have to imagine that Floyd would have a good amount of success at that range.
Also I notice a lot of people view Mayweather as a much smaller guy than he really is and assume Spence is going to have some major size advantage. He might not weigh as much as most boxers but that is because he stayed in good shape. Reminds me of how Crawford gets classified as a smaller guy than he really is when he really isn't that small of a welterweight.Last edited by Tails; 04-29-2020, 07:44 AM.

floyd fans: duh, he's suppose to say that. what is he gonna say, that he'll lose to floyd?
any other fighter saying the same thing spence said --
floyd fans: gtfho! you cant beat floyd. you're a bum. floyd will stop you within 9 rounds.

Prime Floyd was not a welterweight, so obviously even is theory Spence wouldn`t fight prime Floyd.
Past prime Floyd from 2007 to 2014 would be too much for Spence.
