I figured I would would post this for all the Canelo Alvarez fans who claim Abel Sanchez thinks his fighter should have lost the second fight.

What Abel changing his tune now have to do with Abel's statements immediately after the fight?

And the fight - if it happens - will take place in Vegas

When did Sanchez ever say Canelo would put Golovkin in a coma. Show me... Show me the quote. The man embellishes everything he says to the point that he has zero credibility.
It's like the, he went crying out of the ring, he picked the gloves, and he picked the referees. None of which is accurate. Unless people are boxing novices they know only the commission can approve the referees and both camps have the right to dispute judges on the list. The gloves Canelo wanted to be used had never been used in a championship level fight and the opposing camp had a financial interest it using them. Disputes over gloves and referees have been going on as long as I have been following boxing. It's part of boxing. Of course on the flip side its OK for Canelo to impose weight restrictions on his opponents. Not once but in multiple fights. Its OK for him to fight above his weight division when he was a Jr. Middleweight multiple times but still claim to be a member of that division. Not a peep out your buddy. If a fighter wants to get together with another fighter and make some money at a catch weight fine. Five in a row is excessive. If you can't or won't by choice make the weight requirements for your division then move up or lose your ranking. The ranking bodies will allow someone else that is consistently making the necessary sacrifices get a chance at the vacant ranking or title.

I went through my post and nowhere did I say the gloves were not approved. I said they had never been used in a championship fight or any other lengthy fight. They were used by Canelo for sparring and in a few fights in Mexico. They were approved for an under card fight put on by Golden Boy prior the the rematch. They were not approved for a championship match until the Jacobs Canelo fight. As far as Golovkin picking the judges the NSAC is the only one who can approve who judges a boxing match. Sanchez had an altercation with one of the judges in the dressing room when he was in the corner of one of his other fighters. The NSAC agreed that it was inappropriate to use him. The replacement judge was agreeable to all parties. Seeing that Golovkin was 37 wins with 1 draw going into the rematch the odds of him not having three experienced judges who haven't scored in his favor at some point is almost zero.

Canelo was free to use any gloves except the ones the NSAC said he could not use.

Golovkin did not pick the judges the judges are picked by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Sanchez had an altercation with one of the judges in a prior fight involving another of his fighters. In order to avoid a potential bias or the appearance of it NSAC removed him from the list.
