Big money fights for McCallum, however fights that did not happen doesn't really mean "duck". McCallum was thought of as a good junior middle by the time Hagler was retired, not before. Leonard after fighting Hagler moved up in weight in pursuit of titles in other weight classes. Hearns and Duran followed leaving McCallum below at junior middleweight. The main case Mike would have was Duran who chose to fight Hagler after winning the WBA junior middleweight title and then facing Thomas Hearns in what could be considered an unification rather than taking less money facing an unproven contender in McCallum. Then again choosing Hagler and Hearns should not necessarily be considered a "duck".

Who?......Oh McCallum, isn't he that guy who lost to Sambuca Kalamby.

Edit: Hagler shouldn't be included in the Fab 4 because he never moved up in weight like the others did. It's Duran, SRL, Hearns and Wilfred Benitez that comprise the 4Kings not Hagler.

McCallums time in the spotlight came after all of these guys were well past their primes and that's all.......
                Drop that knowledge mayne.

Duck doesnt mean scared off, it means avoided, and fighters are avoided for lots of reasons, mostly its a money for the risk thing.

The trouble in here is too much macho BS where Duck means scared, these guys are elite level fighters, they dont fear anyone in a boxing ring.

It's used so often without any proof that it comes off as hurt feelings.

I wouldnt being claiming Breadman is the all and end all, Ive read of things he stats as facts and they not really, Mugabi being a star prior to Hagler is another one. Makes me question the rest of what he says here.

Mike was no joke I know he flogged Tommy in sparing because I had a good friend who was training at Kronk at the time. He told me one night Mike would have stopped him he had it over him so much.
I'm not saying Bread's the end all be all, but Mugabi was higher rated at Middleweight than McCallum in 1986 when he fought Hagler.

McCallum was still at 154 until 1987, when he fought Leonard, and if you had the opportunity to fight Sugar Ray Leonard for millions of dollars or fight Mike McCallum, you're taking Leonard 10 out of 10 times.
