lol I hardly never make a thread about Floyd,
Fans often put the fab 4 on pedestals like they were unbeatable Gods, they wasnt they were fighters that did actually duck some guys !
Mike was a great fighter that kinda was kept in the shadows of the fab four, you can tell he is bitter because they genuinely wanted no part of McCallum. Not that it means he beats them but he dam could have and I heard it back in the day how he gave Tommy a touch up in sparing.Comment

This kind of ignorance is running rampant here. Any one that knows anything about boxing (that leaves this guy out) knows Duran vacated the WBA belt to move up and fight Hagler. The difference in money and prestige between fighting Hagler and McCallum is huge. Really, really dumb to even suggest Duran ducked him to fight Hagler.
McCallums time in the spotlight came after all of these guys were well past their primes and that's all.......Comment

Duran was up there in age but he was far from finished as he would go on to prove. This kind of ignorance is running rampant here. Hearns was in his prime when he fought Duran and Hagler and I'm a Hearns fan (apparently it was Tommy who dubbed Mike "The Body Snatcher").
Hagler was past his prime but that only became apparent when he fought Mugabi which would have been McCallum's only real window (Mugabi was also a good fighter).
It comes down the old "high risk, low reward". Simply more money in fighting each other than the likes of McCallum.Comment
