I completely disagree with how high/low certain fighters are but overall it’s a solid list.

I think it’s very difficult to compare what you have read compared to what you have seen though, comparing say Sam Langford to Manny Pacquiao for example is very difficult IMO as your opinion on fighters from that era will be largely based on the opinions, reports, studies of others. Whilst you have a plethora of footage to analyse for the modern fighters.

in lower weight classes manny has some names Floyd doesn’t: Morales and Barrera

            vs

When beating bigger men Floyd usually fought the fresher and better versions of their mutual opponents

What does it for me Floyd beating manny wide when they fought

So you have Bernard Hopkins at 22 and Julio Cesar Chavez at 44. Sounds legit.

Bhop is a top 8 MW and had a longevity element to his career.
JCC is solid but i have Holyfield, Spinks, Hearns and Arguello between them.

Perhaps JCC lacks a big name ATG in his resume unlike others. He is in the same boat as Ike Williams and Oscar Dela Hoya but is significantly higher than fellow lightweights Ortiz and Mosley

nice thread i know this took some time.....list looks similar to the old 80 fighters of the last 80s from ring magazine

i commend you for putting in this type of work.
