To his credit Jacob's was the toughest fight available for anyone's return. His dad was extremely opposed to it. He will win a couple of fights against nobodies and he will think he's better then Canelo again. This again will be his demise.Comment

Now he's really really really disciplined now. He's twice as disciplined now. Before 1% of his character was based on discipline so now it's 2%. Step aside Canelo, because Jr is going after BertibievComment

You had the shot to work hard and be dedicated before the Martinez fight - it was an all or nothing type of thing, setup nicely by TR. what a clownComment

A part of me wants to believe that THIS time Junior is serious - another part of me wishes he would simply be honest with himself and the boxing public.
It must be hard being the son of one of Mexico's greatest fighters, the pressure to succeed as well as being his own man must be enormous.
My sense is Junior was pretty much done after the Martinez fight, and irredeemably done after one of the most embarrassing performances against Canelo.
In sports science, men and women are able to achieve peak fitness up until 33-34; then the body begins a slow decline. There are exceptions of course, like B-hop and George Foreman - but such athletes are supremely dedicated and motivated.Comment
