Paulie sounds like an idiot. How could he say that Wilder would never beat Tyson Fury when he damned near decapitated him by way of knockout in their first meeting?

Wilder problem is more psychological than physical. He only needs the drive and motivation to defeat Fury. The only way he can get it is that he has to want it a lot more than Tyson Fury does.

He must be willing to go through Hell or high water in order to get the job done and it starts in sparring, training and in preparation for the bout. If he does that Fury would fold and wilt under pressure by laying down and quitting. I can guarantee you that.

If Wilder shows up again with no focus, game plan, strategy, persistence, determination or will power then he loses. It's just that plain and simple.

No offense (honestly) but how ignorant are you to the circumstances involved in the first fight? You know, the ring rust, 400+pounds, drug and alcohol addiction, bodyfat %, different fighting style and trainer from the second fight etc.??

            Fury from 2018 ≠ 2020 Fury

And you have proof of this, I assume. Paulie said nothing outrageous in these statements. I am a Wilder guy but he never really learned the technical side of the game. You can't just wait for that one big shot. It has worked for him many times but Fury seems to have his number.

It's real simple. Deontay Wilder underestimated Fury both times they fought. He neither feared or saw him as some kind of threat.

Wilder didn't show up to win. He just showed up. He thought it would be just business as usual or another walk in the park.

In both fights, Fury was clearly the hungrier of the two fighters. He wanted it more and it showed.

Paulie is an analyst, he's not there to be a cheerleader.

                    He said it exactly right.

Yeah, Wilder has a big right hand, but aside from him landing more than few shots, I can't see him ever beating Fury.
