Trash fight, Leo is much too small. Uncle Al must be giving him a pretty penny to take this L.

I don’t understand comments like these. It is clearly LSC who wants Davis. Not PBC forcing him into a fight with him.

And about the weight, it appears that is also LSC who wants to make the move to 135. I bet he is having trouble making weight.

LSC has been ramping up his efforts to land Davis. I’m pretty sure he and his people saw something in the Gamboa fight that they feel they can exploit. They probably feel if they can just take Davis best shots and outwork him, LSC can maybe come through in the final rounds with a whirlwind of punches and stop Davis via ref stoppage because Davis will be gassed. They also see how undisciplined Davis is with weight and figure he is likely draining himself to make these lower weights and want to capitalize now.

It’s sort of like what Roach was claiming he saw in DLH in the Forbes fight and everyone called him crazy for having Pacquiao face DLH at 147 coming up from 135. I think it’s the same here but only that DLH was 37 and Davis is young. But Davis body clearly goes through some abuse at a young age, he is not very disciplined.

LSC and his team probably see all of this and feel like they can beat him. But whether it comes out as planned or not, we’ll have to wait to see that.

I can understand LSC wanting Tank to come to 130! However, what if Tank agrees and misses weight? What are you going to do? Money is tight, only one fight for 2020. I think it was would be wiser for LSC to fight GRJ @ 130! I also say that Haney vs. Davis @ 135 is a much better fight between much better fighters!

This would be an interesting fight. It would be good to see how Davis handles someone with high output the entire fight and it would be good to see how Leo does against a really hard puncher. I think Leo starts fast and with his high output and jab keeps Davis at bay and in the later rounds Davis gets a bit desperate landing some solid shots but losing by decision. Davis does not have the stamina to keep up with Leo and as long as Leo does not make it a shoot out he should win.

You thinking Davis misses weight just adds to my post. LSC and his people see how undisciplined Davis is and think it is a struggle for him to fight at 130-135lbs. And it is a struggle, but only because Davis own personal issues with staying disciplined. Davis right now, is training more to lose weight, than actually honing his boxing skills. It’s a big struggle for him and I think the reason he looked mediocre vs a one footed Gamboa was because he was fatigued from very poor nutrition, most likely starving himself to death to fit his frame down below 140.

LSC and his team see this obvious flaw and LSC is not going to struggle at all making 135 if the fight takes place there. It is an excellent opportunity for Cruz to get a win vs another rising young star who lacks discipline, can’t focus 100% in boxing, and would likely benefit from moving up to 140lbs despite his short height, he is a “Tank” for 130-135.
